The past day or so I've noticed Tachanka's with a deployable shield in front of their turret. It makes their head nearly invisible, and they can shoot through it with no issue what-so-ever.
This is blatantly over powered. Tachanka can shoot through a deployable shield through another shield such as Blitz or Montagne. A good Tachanka can angle their setup in a way that makes nitro charges and flash bangs nearly impossible.
Tachanka should not be able to use a deployable shield as cover and shoot through it. It's OP, and makes an already fantastic weapon better. This tactic will be abused to the end of time if it isn't taken care of. Even a good Glaz has a hard time hitting a well placed Tachanka behind a deployable.
An already fantastic weapon? His turret is the worst special ability of any character...Originally Posted by Decoy_Dan Go to original post
Do you even know who IQ is? Pulse sucks right now too. Tachanka can shoot through Blitz and Montagnye shields with ease. Tachanka's MG turret is great when positioned well. It's far better than IQ's ability to see electronics that just about anyone can see already anyway. Better than Pulse's broken heartbeat monitor, better than Kapkan's mines which almost never get tripped. Only, when you place it behind a shield and make him a wall from one side and a street sweeper on the other, things get a little outa hand.Originally Posted by snarfthepleb Go to original post
Pulse is beast. IQ will always be bad, but at least she doesn't leave you standing still as as easy target to use her ability. Kapkans mines rarely get tripped, but they are good since they can get you a pick with 0 risk. have seen a triple kill with them, ofc on noobs, but still they are useful. They also make a good distraction. Tacha is just bad, too loud, too stationary, not to mention the other team can use your turret, so this limits your positioning even more.Originally Posted by Decoy_Dan Go to original post
What do you mean it can shoot through shields btw? It can break the glass? because it can't break through the shield for sure
I get rocked by it frequently. I play a lot of Blitz and Montagne and I get shot to pieces by Tachanka. Full on shield cover too, not aiming, not standing at funky angles. Maybe it's just a bug, but it eats through the shield pretty quickly.Originally Posted by milk______ Go to original post
Also, have you played pulse in the open beta? His heartbeat monitor is only good to a laughable like 5m. I have literally not been able to see someone in the next room with it.
He can't penetrate the shield, your arm sticks out or he is shooting your feet. Here's a good example of shield vs tacha, he shoots the shield for 5 whole seconds doing nothing and I get an easy headshot at a stationary target. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iWLTZCh96wOriginally Posted by Decoy_Dan Go to original post
Yes I played a lot of pulse and his beat monitor is strong as ****. Anyone who argues that free wallhacks are useless... I just dunno...
If you want some tips for him, he is best used in rooms beside stairs. Also at windows. I always position myself beside the stairs when possible.
Ok a Tachanka main i have to say he is not overpowered you have to be good with him, the bullets only go through the Plexiglas in the shields and the high caliber of the the LMG would easily tear through the Plexiglas, you have to sacrifice the deployable shield to shoot through it, you can not move while on the turret making you a sitting duck and Glaz can easily pick off a Tachanka. Also to refer back to the shield problem it is REALISTIC and Rainbow Six is trying to be as REALISTIC as possible.Originally Posted by Decoy_Dan Go to original post

I already reported about it. I hope they'll see.
Lol pulse sucks. He is the best class for a roaming defender that has any sense of tactics. As for Tachanka he is by far the ****tiest class of them all. Every time I see him on the opposite team i feel like I am playing vs 4 people.
The only time he is good is when the opposite team has 0 clue as to how to use drones mark targets and use peekers advantage.
