Acorn Tournament, Kick to Dash, DLC issue | Forums

I keep getting a lock up and kicked to dashboard when trying to load up the Acorn Tournament,

The same sequence everytime with about 20 attempts so far,
First it's trying to tell me I need dlc's to play it (a red X in top right corner) and sends me to a blank store page,
When backing out of store page (red X is now green tick) looks good to go,
Starts downloading UGC tracks,
Then that all too frequent machine gun sounding freeze up happens and it kicks me to dashboard.

It happened me 5 or 6 times in a row earlier today so I left it,
Few hours passed and I tried again,
Same thing over and over so I tried a hard reset,
Still there, same thing and now a new problem... it's not letting me into anything with dlc in it,
I have all the dlc's, the game doesn't say otherwise, green ticks in top right corners, but when clicked, it sends me to blank store page, and just repeats.

There is names on that tournament leaderboard so I don't know if it's isolated to me?

Xbox1, digital...

We're having some issues with this on the X1 and we're currently investigating. As far as the game not recognizing the DLC, it has seemed to sort out if you allow the in game dashboard where the event tiles are to completely load up before trying to launch anything.

I'll update you on the tournament as soon as I have more info.

Yea I got into a few TC tracks with DLC earlier when giving it time to fully load up,
It's very sluggish though with a lot of lengthy loading screens through the different TC feeds,

It seems to be the DLC licence ownership that's taking it's time kicking in.

So it's really just the tournament problem,
I'm glad it's not something on my end, (not glad obviously but you know what I mean lol)

Having exact same issues. xbox one, digital. Had missing DLC at first.. decided to try again later. Now the game makes a very loud noise and freezes when I try to play the tournament.

We are looking into this issue. We've got 2 new tournaments using UGC live on Xbox One. If you could give them a try and let us know if you have the same problems it could help us narrow down the possible causes.

Yep will try them asap Shogun,
Not sure how soon I can get on there though,

I was also thinking something else to try when I saw the Community Tournament topic,
As Matt had listed the tracks in the acorn tournament I was going to try download the tracks individually before trying the tournament again,
As it fails during the "downloading ugc tracks" phase, I was hoping it might bypass that and let me in,
But I suppose I'm out of time to try that now...

If possible and you can find time could someone list the tracks in those other tournaments?
If it fails as before, I can try that idea and report back with any info

What Shogun is referring to is the University of Trials tournament and the Custom Crunch tournament.

i just tried both, was kicked to dash both times(X1)

Right... Tried "University of Trials"
It started up with "Downloading UGC tracks" 0/3. and hung at 2/3 for 10mins exactly before I exited to dash myself, it didn't freeze!
So I went and downloaded all the tracks individually, no probs, they all downloaded and started up, I didn't finish them, just started and quit,
Went back to the tournament... It started up "Downloading UGC tracks" 0/5. and crashed to dash at 2/5.

Restarted game (I'm writing this as I'm doing it in-game)
It's telling me now I don't have required DLC to play, sending me to store page...

,,,Aaaand now it just popped up "Cannot connect to ubisoft servers....

Sorry, I give up!

note; It's took an awful long time for the Community Dash to populate the tiles, at least 5 mins,
And when I did go on the listed tracks individually before crash, I had no ghost dots on screen,

I cant try the other tournament because it wont connect to servers, but that one did work for me last week when it was the same one for in-game currency...
