the lower the tick rate the cheaper the server is to run, however the more "jumpy" the game is aswell. its like your frames per second, the higher it is the more smooth the game runs. 15 tick rate means the sever updates 15 times per second meanwhile counterstrike hs a 32 tick replay, 64 tick gameplay and on competitive they have 128 tick servers.

    BUMP.

This really needs addressed. I am being killed by persons who are not there on my screen (quick peek kills) or persons turned in the opposite direction of me. Before some fanboi responds.... No, its not my connection, I am 10MB/s externally and a 1GB/s internally.

    EDIT:
These servers are being hosted out of AWS. Tickrate does not require more bandwidth, only more CPU. CPU is not an expensive resource in the AWS tiering stack.

Surely with a beta they would of been wanting to test 64 tick servers so close to release? Whats the chances of the game releasing with just 15 tick servers? Seems a cert to me this close to release?

just keep bumping this until they cant ignore it. They can offset this and get more development time if needed to implement their AWS Infrastructure and code by simply giving us dedicated server binaries. I'd be more than happy to pay for a host suitable for those with serious causal tendencies. (assumes tickrate is a valid options switch for host configs)

After watching Siege Day with the lack of professional players and forcing them to use controllers on PCs they are targeting a Console crowd which will see this game go by the wayside with in 6months. To me that is sad because they have something here but lack the conviction to push it to succeed.

That is the thing, they are sitting on the fence between a Console mentality and a Competitive PC mentality. If they want it to become something great and to grow the community they need to push it hard into both realms not take the middle ground between both.

I am not picking on Consoles mate. I am stating the release of server side binaries with server cvars for customization so that we can host our own servers in any data center we chose. Purchasing dedicates from Ubi for the Console player is a great option too. I want the game to succeed, I am buy no means crying without valid concerns. I have been gaming since 1999, I started with R6. Over the years I have seen many games with tons of potential fail because the company limited options. Take the two most played games in the world right now, CS & WoW. In both examples they never restricted the user experience, and did everything they could to make any VALID option suggested available.
