It's very easy to be doubtful about the game. It launches in March, yet Ubisoft has not had any drum rolling to get people hyped -> people think there are issues since launch is TBH very close if that March date is real and not to be delayed.
No trailers to remind people of beta etc either.
I wont comment on whether i think there's issues or not because that is not the answer for this question..
I agree. The silence a couple days before December is bad.Originally Posted by Makikou Go to original post
There has not been any incentives other than a couple posts, to get people to sign up for the beta.
Today they make a simple announcement about being able to play solo.
I pre paid for the game, but all this silence indicates, that yes, there is trouble otherwise the hype machine would be going full tilt.
I think a lot of people assume "beta in December" means that it starts at the very start of December and is a month long, when in fact, it could simply be the last few days of December, and lasting for 2 weeks or so after that.Originally Posted by BadBug Go to original post
What we know so far is that the community managers and Thom Clancy, are visiting the Massive studio in Sweden at the start of December (roughly December 3rd-4th if I remember correctly). So I think we will hear dates of the Beta, or maybe more teasers from that point on. There's still a long while until the game releases (3 and a bit months yet!) so they probably don't want to start the "hype train" in terms of trailers etc. when the Beta is just about to start - if any bugs are found in the Beta, people will call them out, comparing it to the trailers and saying that Ubisoft lied to them.
It's a delicate balancing act I know, but it's one they've got to play. We can only sit and wait in the meantime.
The death of Tom Clancy back in October 1st, 2013 is what concerns me about the story-related content and maybe rights related to it. We can only blame current-gen consoles that don't provide enough for such titles. I believe that Ubisoft (Watch_Dogs/The Division) and CD Projekt (Witcher 3) had high expectations about the current consoles and they let them down, then people just speak crap about the companies while not considering that they're trying to cope with consoles.
