I hate matches where my opponents zap past me right after the start because their bikes are better upgraded than mine.

I'd gladly wait more time, say, 5 mins, to have a better opponent selected for me. Pairing time doesn't matter for such hard showdowns.

Please consider refining it.

The pairing is done based on the players' current PvP rankings, it doesn't take into account how much the bikes are upgraded. So it doesn't matter how long you wait, you could still for example end up against a player that has a lower ranking than you and everything upgraded.

I agree 100% I wouldn't mind waiting longer if they took bike upgrades into consideration when matchmaking.

People with fully upgraded bikes need people to play against too. If bike upgrades were added to the list of criteria for showdown matchmaking then an already small pool of players would get even smaller. Also, you have to remember that the majority of players were in your position once. But they eventually upgraded their bikes and have earned the right to use their advantage. Another thing, once you upgrade your bikes to 7 or 8, there may be a slight difference between you and someone with maxed bikes, but not one so huge that you cannot overcome it. Try looking at any of Dubeatz's or kiandavila's runs (on iOS, or anyone in the top 50 without fully maxed bikes), their berserkers are only half upgraded but still have great times. Bike upgrades may give you the edge, but don't guarantee victory.

Also, on a different note, since RedLynx won't make any money off of this so I seriously doubt that they will change anything.

The thing with the showdown match-ups.....It all depends on who else is looking to Battle at the same time that you're looking, so if there isn't anyone that's a close/good match for you then all it can do is pick the nearest ranked player that's available and this is when you get these crazy/unfair match-ups !!

What's the ****ing point of a luck based multiplayer?

Because right now it is. You either get an extremely easy opponent who obviously has lower upgrades than you, or the exact opposite.

How did this seem like a good idea?

Rplaying a showdown against a guy who does major **** ups and I still can't beat him because he just beats me with pure speed...
