That wasn't mentioned before. Again, would be nice if there was an in game tutorial on this for the first run.
To be honest, I did that but it seems it's not advised to rev at all as it might be acting like a burnout while it shouldn't. It should act like holding the clutch and taking it off when its green. Tried that but it's a different story than what we have in real life. Best thing is to time it with green light.

It must be a mild rev between 2500-3500 rpm for most cars, but not yet in the game.

that is the perfect summary of the drag runs in this game

The problem might be the same exact problem we get in PvP. The lag lottery. Sometimes I finish 1st ( on my screen, and on other people's screens) but then I end up being second (also third, if we were all close) . Or other times, I clearly finish 2nd , but then I find myself winning the match. It's a server lag problem. I dont understand why they just dont use times to determine the rank. No, as already mentioned above, there's a "drunk stopwatch men" in the finish line that is causing these problems. So people think the car is faster or slower... but it might be a problem of lag.

That's correct, it's caused by the lag you have to the match host (which is one of the racers). This lag can make it so that what happens on screen might not entirely coincide with what is fed to the server from the host because of each individual's lag to the host.

I finished 2nd once and got 1st in the end! I think if it possible to use times and show some action screen for like 5-10 sec then determine who's at top that might help making it more accurate.

Tune everything to grip bonus, floor it, be good. That works for me.
-Drags actually go faster with grip bonus than with speed >.<

    Thanks for confirming it.
Is it really not possibile to ask the developers to make it so that final real ranks are given by final times coming from the each player's personal IP maybe? Or something like that.. I'm not good in this subject, but I see that other racing games do not have this issue. I understand The Crew is a unique game with this kind of map and gameplay, so I guess the game's "parameters" are different from other racing games... but it would be great if you try to send a word to developers to fix this issue

so, at the current summit, in 2 trials (=6 runs in total) i set my best time of 24.520 seconds with my Ford Focus. then i moved on to my Dodge Viper, did 2x3 runs aswell, and managed to beat that time by 0.52 seconds. which is great, BUT...

both cars are 1299, both have the very same bonuses, altho the Focus's top speed was 555km/h, with NO2 586km/h, while the Viper's top speed was 532km/h, with NO2 569km/h. both runs were solo, perfect ****ts/start/burn, didn't make any mistakes on the track, so how on earth did i beat my previous record with a significantly slower car?!
