    Question about Just Dance Unlimited

It's my understanding that Just Dance Unlimited is replacing DLC tracks. The beautiful thing about DLC was I can buy, download and play the songs I want and ignore the ones I don't. With JDU, you pay a monthly fee to get access to a large library of songs. 99% of which I have no interest in, but there are a few songs there that I'd like to add to the game. How does it work? Do I pay a monthly fee and get access to the library to download whatever songs I want? Do I get to keep the songs I like when my subscription ends?

It seems unfair to the fans of the game who are not fanatics if we're forced to pay a monthly fee so we can gain access to a handful of songs. And then we lose those songs when our subscription ends.

Can someone give me a clear explanation of how the service works? I can't warrant paying 40$ a year for the rest of my life just to gain access to a handful of songs, paying 5$ to 6$ a song to permanently add it to my library is much more reasonable to me.

The Just Dance Unlimited service is a service where players can play tracks from the past games as well as new ones. If you're connected to the internet, the game will automatically show the library of the tracks in the menu, regardless of if you pay or not. The payments are $6.99 for 1 Month, $14.99 for 3 Months, and $39.99 for 1 Year. The game will also update regularly on adding content to the library (I'm not 100% sure on this since nothing has been added since the release, but I think that's what happens) (Update: I forgot to mention this, but it's a streaming service which means that the songs will stream when you play them)

You don't really download anything. As I've said the game automatically shows you the library in the menu if you're connected to the internet regardless of if you pay or not. When the subscription expires you can't access any songs until you renew it. (I think your progress is still saved though so when you do renew all your content is restored including scores and avatars) You can't pick certain songs to keep or anything, it's all one big library.

If you're not a fanatic, I wouldn't buy it just cause of how like you said, there might be only a few songs you'd like rather than have a whole library. In my opinion, the service is really for people who are fanatics and for people who want to start a party since there will be a big catalog to choose from.

Hopefully this is a through explanation of the service. Also fyi I'm not a mod or anything, I'm just a fanatic.

Kudos on your thorough explanation, IronicEar979 and thanks for posting it. Just want to add on to one of your points:

The game will also update regularly on adding content to the library (I'm not 100% sure on this since nothing has been added since the release, but I think that's what happens)
This is correct! We will be adding new songs to the library regularly. I don't have exact dates for you, but we'll do our best to keep you updated on these new additions!

    GuitarGomes,

    Correct, JDU is account-specific.

JDU - I don't have all the tracks?

    Hi,

I have subscribed to JDU under the pretence that I will have access to over 200 extra tracks. I certainly can access a lot more, but this list (http://justdance.wikia.com/wiki/Just_Dance_Unlimited) details a huge number of songs which I don't have access to. Initially, I thought it was because I don't have older games (I have 2016 and 2017) except some of the songs from the older games are there.

I also got an email saying that Wake Me Up Before You Go Go had been added to JDU. When I looked on my game, it wasn't there. So what actually happens? I'm confused!
