10 years ago you made decent games that catered to fans but it's clear where your intentions lie now. Just profits. Granted, all corporations are of course about generating profit. But you're in the video game business, not a manufacturing goods business. Your products need substance. You had it right with Far Cry 1, Instincts/Predator and even Far Cry 2 to an extent.
Even if this game had the MP and map editor, the whole Uplay thing is a giant turn off.
I've made great friends on Far Cry for the original Xbox but I think the only chance we'll revive that community is if we get a remastered version of Far Cry Instincts: Predator someday, or a backwards compatible version of it for Xbox One.
edit: As you can see from my join date, I've been a long time Far Cry fan, but Ubisoft really took the whole franchise downhill from what it once was. It's a shame. Until the things the community demands be implemented, I'll never buy another Ubisoft game (haven't since 2008 anyways with Far Cry 2).
If you're on the xbox (or ps4), Uplay has literally zero impact on the game if you don't want to mess with it... Uplay (or Ubisoft Club as it is now) is a completely tertiary and optional thing that is honestly only beneficial ( by giving you unlocks that are sometimes really great early game items), only thing that sucks about it is the menus are slow and unresponsive and now it's a totally separate app you have to go to...
Lack of MP and map editor go along the evolution of the franchise, focused on single player open-world action adventure. Primal is going to be all about this. To use a pun, there are two kinds of players. The one pleased and the other that are not. But since the franchise is going this way, that's how evolution works. You go extinct. Sad tale for a mammoth story but at least it's logical.
P.S.: "bye bye Ubisoft" just sounds a bit too childish for such a veteran like you.
