    Horrific microstutter.

The following is a post I wrote on the game's STEAM forum,.

I recently reinstalled the game after some time off, and are experiencing some fairly horrendeous microstutter.

The game usually runs normally for a while; then, at some point - usually around the ten minute mark - the FPS drops with around 10 (It usually goes from the 50s to the 40s.), and microstutter starts setting in.

I haven't been able to find any particular common denominators as to what causes this - it appears that it sometimes happens upon entering a vehicle. Also, I had one experience where the game ran fine until I died, and upon respawning, the microstutter was there. These might of course be coincidences.

I run the game at 1920x1080 resolution, with everything maxed-out and VSync disabled. When the microstutter isn't there, the game usually runs at around 50-60 FPS, which I find fine for the most part.

    ---

    My computer.

Two "NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN Z"s in SLI.
    32GB RAM.
    "Intel Core i7-3960X".
    64-BIT "Windows 7 Ultimate".

The game runs from a regular, non-SSD harddrive.

All other games run fine, I have all the latest drivers and the latest Windows-update. I have tried verifying the game cache.

I'm more optimistic towards getting exposure for the problem in the official forum, so I'm transferring the question here.

Sorry, I can't help you on your problem. But really, only 60 FPS on that resolution with THAT hardware? Are you sure the SLI is enabled at all? Have you tried if disabling the NVidia specific settings (= change the GFX preset to Ultra) helps?

That's because the game is $£@°§#!

I get dissed for using a GTX 470 AMP, but you actually proof that it doesn't even run properly on a high end rig, even it there was only one Titan.

R3b37, nobody has "dissed" your hardware. We're trying to help you solve your problem. If your system specs meet minimal requirements then you should be fine, if not then you can't play the game. Either way, please contat support --> support.ubi.com

    Thanks for your patience.

Sure someone did, a good while ago. I could run the game, albeit on low settings. But that's not the point. This game has so many shortcomings, technical- and gameplay- wise, that it's no fun to play on time. Whereas other actual games, almost maxed out, run smoothly even on my system, this one is just a mess. And the problem the OP experiences persists since day one. Some get it stronger, others less, but it's there. And it's only one thing of many.
