Hi,
Just installed the companion app on my phone and it won't connect to my PC, so can't use the only real useful feature in my opinion, the world map showing where I am and my markers...
Everything else coming from Uplay is working fine, its connecting fine so I can access the treasure maps, the database, progress etc... but will not connect to the PC to get the actual "live" position on the map.
Did anyone experience this issue and were you able to resolve it?
I have turned on automatic sync with the app option in game, not sure what else to check... Are there any ports I should be forwarding for the app to work or any firewall inbound rule to allow a connection?
I have the exact same issue (says "Connection Impossible").
I have tried opening a ticket but after almost a week, nothing other then they will send the issue to another department to review and to watch the forums for the solution. I also found previously on the forums this same issue from about a year ago with no solution. The poster was told to open a support ticket. Welcome to the circle of Ubisoft (un)support.
Not very happy with them as a result of this.

Well, my trouble ticket was looked at pretty quickly based on UBI standards (10 days after being opened), but I got the generic "issue forwarded to devs" response... which I interpret as... "We know it's not working, we don't have a fix..."

Found a fix/workaround...
I re-installed v2.1 of the companion app and can connect to PC without issues.... so they really broke this in the latest Google Play version 2.2.
Google for the v2.1 APK, there are plenty of sites where it's available.
This fixed it for me on PC/Android.
