Not always the case. Even in Assassin's Creed it went 1, 2, Brotherhood, Revelations, then 3, 4 Black Flag, Unity etc... I think (read: hope) they use the numbered entries for modern day "guy in wrong place, wrong time forced to take up arms" plotlines & settings and use subtitled entries as the experimental games, thats my personal desire for it, and I think a good way to differentiate the 2, especially if they're gonna pump these things out closer & closer to each other... Not saying you're wrong, but I kinda hope you are if that makes sense... hahaOriginally Posted by angstik Go to original post
They officially said that AC will never have any other numbered titles. They could easily do the same with FC. Guess that was logic, since numbers indicate some kind of scenario sequel, etc... Even though FC4 was a sequel to 3 and 2 due to lots of quotes and stuff, I guess that's a different issue. Primal sure does not have any number but that's better like this. You know what you get. 4 or 3 could have been "Kyrat" or "Rooks", no one would have cared more than necessary. They unoffically called the game FC5 and I'm ok with that. A subtle world used to qualify the game is far more original than a number.
when/ where did they 'unofficially' call primal FC5? I'm fine with the subtitle situation as well, I'm not implying I'm against it, all I'm saying is that I hope there is another modern-day far cry in the works as well because I really enjoy them and would like to see them progress even further with them.Originally Posted by angstik Go to original post
Oh, so it's just that our interpretations of what constitutes "FarCry5" is different...Originally Posted by angstik Go to original post
It's not meaningless and I wasn't putting down what you said, simply saying that what you consider an implication of considering the game "FC5", I did not interpret it that way, not that bigga deal bruh....Originally Posted by angstik Go to original post
Nothing I said was meant to imply I wanted a total overhaul. If anything my talk of FC5 was sticking closer to the FC3/4 formula than what Primal is doing. Don't get me wrong, I like that primal will be very different as I do think the series was already starting to suffer from the tedium & repetitiveness AC has been riddled with for years now because they used the exact same mechanics (and animations, and models etc) as the last game. I also think they're starting to suffer from feature creep. I think for what I want out of FC5, they need to just re-evaluate what works and double down on blowing those aspects out and trim the fat on the things that don't really work or serve much purpose (seriously, how many people even regularly use the other syringes besides healing?)Originally Posted by Viragoxv535 Go to original post
