It's funny you should mention that...

Import your friends from Steam

Linking your Uplay account to your Steam accounts now means you can import all of your friends from Steam who have done the same.

To do that simply click on the Friends icon in the top right of the client, click “Add Friends” and in the new window that opens select “Import friends from Steam”.

The search will automatically start and once it is done you will have a list of friends that you can add in Uplay. Just pick the ones you want via the check boxes to the left and get those friend requests sent.

This was included in the update that we released today.

I can't see the import steam friends option when you click add friends option it just shows the search bar no button to click import steam friendslist

This button will only appear if you have a Steam account already linked. I've checked your account and can see that you do not. Do you login to Uplay automatically? This bypasses the Steam account linking process. You should be given the prompt below if you log out of Uplay and then launch your game from Steam.

Thanks that really helped managed to add my friends, it would be better to have a steam import link within the uplay client so we can import our friends the same we can on other platforms from uplay client or on the uplay website.

But you should make it easier in the next update.

Also it gave me some error when I tried to do it

"Something went wrong.You steam friends could not be imported"

Hey talkido, care to try relinking your Steam account? You can unlink through Uplay PC Settings > Account Linking > Unlink. Then you will need to log out of Uplay, launch a game from Steam and login to Uplay again.

Okay I'm super confused, How do I link steam to Uplay? For example I got the option ticked "Remind me of account linking when starting a steam game" I started a UBI game on steam, but didn't get this reminder? and have no other idea how to link them, help?

log out of uplay,close it
then start any uplay game from steam and you should get the notification
close the game then go to friends on uplay and youll have the option there to import your steam friends
