Nice job beating the game, Rude! I'll probably not get Bloodborne, but I did pick up Dark Souls III because it was on sale on ps4. I doubt I will make it past the first boss. So far I have only turned it on for 5 minutes to try out the controls, in which I managed to use my estus flask twice instead of reading a blood stain thing because I forgot that the x button on ps4 is the bottom one
So you could say it will probably be a long and painful road ahead.. but I spent so little on getting the game, I don't mind if I don't get very far. Visuals are gorgeous, though... even more so than I expected from watching others play it.
Also tried Horizon Zero Dawn today,at last. Sooo beautiful, and I think I will have a lot of fun with that when my hands agree with me playing it.
As for trials news.... nice joke![]()
I too bought the game on the sale (lost it on Xbox with my game share). I could assist at any time, can't be any more complicated than Bloodborne to do lol. I think there is an co-op feature where we could use a code to get into each other's game, like myself and Mower used.Originally Posted by bassa82 Go to original post
It does look sweet, Kristin. Not tried it yet, enjoying the torture lol.Originally Posted by bassa82 Go to original post

Going to have to get the XB1 back soon, as it's the only way to speak with my Xbox pals. I think they've all forgotten how to use the forum (Kristin aside).
In a bit, folks.
DS3 will maybe be a bit harder than BB imo, it's a bit slower and there's no health recovery (when you get health back from quickly retaliating) meaning you can't be as aggressive as much as BB.
BUT!!
In BB you can only coop with 2 ppl far as I know. in DS3 you can have 3 or 4 partners no problem...bosses get equivalently bigger health bars but multiple ppl constantly pulling aggro makes a big difference.
Anyone wanting some company is more than welcome to give me a shout. I've been itching to run through the game with someone just watching them figure it out and fighting invaders for ages lol.
I'm down for a NG+ run at BB too if you wanna speed through it and see anything you might've missed Rude..or any help you might need Mower. Just bear with me if you message and don't hear back, I'm always online but not always here.
Love these games and it's so good seeing new folks appreciate them too![]()
DS3 is indeed very tricky early doors, even with my newfound BB confidence lol. Enemy placements are clever, no foe is a push over. I feel slightly more confident on BB (reminds me a little of Ninja Gaiden) but DS3 is a game worth the perseverance, sharing the DNA. The area settings are stunning.Originally Posted by JoeRegular Go to original post
Vordt of the Boreal Valley was a tough battle, Joe. The first attempts he'd nail me about half health with his frost breath attack. I just risked getting close in and hit him from behind, avoiding the frost.
This next area is most intriguing, Undead Settlement. Brilliant fun with the creatures on the roofs, with their blow darts
I wonder if Mower has DS3?
Joe, you may just get that invite, pal.![]()
Seem to be making fine progress there mate! My son's gonna be playing BB for a couple hrs and I'm hoping to be on and free by 9/10ish.
You still got at least 2 bosses left in BB and the DLC is a step up too btw. Need to repurchase the DLC myself as I had the UK disc, bought season pass, played DLC, sold disc, had much regret, bought new'un off eBay, it's Chinese, DLC don't work, cursed eBay XD
Ha, ha. Cheers, pal. It's been a true slog already, but it teaches you to have your wits about you. Saying that, just got slaughtered by a dude with red eyes carrying two scythe type weapons. So easy to happen lol. Just found a bonfire, phew!Originally Posted by JoeRegular Go to original post
I know of one boss I left, I'd love to slaughter him with you..I heard about the DLC difficulty lol. We'll have to do it sometime.
Good luck to your son.![]()
I'll probably not do any multiplayer in ds3 for a while, I don't have ps plus at the moment and they have just stopped nagging me about it
Kinda feels good to be playing a game in offline mode like in the good old days.... and I need some time to tell my sword apart from my shield also, I don't want to be a burden, and the game is probably a bit out of my league...
But thanks for the kind offers! If I get really into it I might renew my ps plus and take you up on it![]()
Go on without me you Three, I am perfectly happy sitting this one out. That Bloodborne game satisfied my appetite for the time being. I'll be rooting for you guys from the sideline the whole way.
hmmm... How much is Dark Souls 3? If it is cheap enough.... wait, what am I thinking.
If I were to purchase DS3, because of the slow progression. Would eventually make its way to my back burner with playing it. I'm enjoying Everybody's Golf right now. I've got Destiny 2 pre-ordered releasing Sept. 6th. So just talking about the rest of this week and next week, it's pretty packed. Sorry for missing out on the fun.
Sept. is also going to be giving plus members inFamous Second Son and I'm really close to getting Platinum on that game. I might try for that one, as I really enjoyed that game when it came out how long ago?
PAX West is upon us. I know our friend KillTheWicked lives out there and hope he has fun enjoying the event. I would go if I lived closer. I would of really liked to of grabbed a bunch of free goodies and mailed them to all of you. My treat for being the cool old dudes that you are.

Sale ends on the 31st I believe, Mower, it's 55% off (maybe even more with gold?), without dlc I think it was around $20.
