I've replied in another thread. First time I did the race straight away and no issue. Second time I said yes, but finished off some other pumpkin races and then couldn't find the queen race. It appears it either didn't show or disappeared when I raced another race first. This problem was on Android.

Has anyone had this bug occur while NOT using the pop-up? After the first time the bug happened to me, I cancelled out of the pop-up and started it myself. So far it has worked every time.

If I had been bitten by this bug I wound't feel guilty about saving up Pumpkins then reinstalling, restoring and getting the challenge for 100 a go. The 100 price remains until you restart the app.

Happened to me too, however, I think I didn't had enough fuel when I accepted the popup.. Maybe the bug has something to do with that?

Pop up might not work; other method always works. Thats all I need to know; I won't be tempting fate.

Yeah, the pumpkin queen ripped me off as well just now. I used the popup, previous races appeared like they should, and I think I have used the popup all of the time. On iPad 3, iOS 8.3

I'm glad I'm not the only one who experienced this. After the Halloween update and the first time I got the pop-up asking to race the Pumpkin Queen, I obviously chose to race and then nothing happened. I thought maybe I was missing something or didn't understand the game update.
So I lost a Pumpkin Queen challenge like most people here. I've since been able to race, and have used the pop-up to do it. So I'm not sure what is going on.

Same issue happened with me. I've raced the Queen some times (1-2 times per day, always clicking the button in the pop-up), and this morning the button failed, I lost 150 pumpkins and she did not show up...
Playing with iPhone.

Ugh, I can't believe I wasted 600 pumpkins before checking for a thread such as this one (been checking the IOS forum instead).
It worked first go via popup then failed twice, then worked via popup after I closed the popup then re-triggered it via another race. Tried the latter and it failed twice again.
The devs need to be testing across a greater number of devices or have a select (or larger) number of players testing stuff before the updates go out. Software development is complex but issues like this are easy enough to find given appropriate device and OS testing. You're letting down your players/payers RL.
