Whiteout.... What were you thinking, honestly?
Well, i haven't played this track since day one of the rustland dlc, and thats for a reason.
Now that i had to play it again due to the acorn tourney i decided to make this thread. Mabye just to get insight view into, why this track was made the way it is; and hopefully to get it changed.
You guys at redlynx always told creators to not block the view on the driving line. Now, that makes me wondering how you could create something that looks like this and think that its alright?
Can you see the driving line? Can you even see my rider? Because i can`t. This track is not fun to ride at all because you are literally riding blind for the whole second half of the track. Just look at the picture. In my opinion this is bad track design. Of course, the snow adds atmosphere to the track but this is way to much. It has a great and fun driving line but is just completely ruined by the snow particles.
Also in terms of speedrunning this gives an unfair advantage to people on consoles (especially 360) because this is how the same part of the track looks like on xbox one.

And here how it looks on 360.

So, the way it looks on 360 is fine, you can see all of the driving line in any moment. Xbox one looks worse but its still fine because you can atleast see where the obstacles are; but the way it looks on pc is a joke.
Well, ye, this thread might sound a bit aggressive but i feel like this is one so obvious issue in track creation that it just should`ve never happened in the first place, or that your testers should have said something when riding those tracks before they got released.
Well, i basically just want to know why something like this got released as an official ingame track and hope that this is getting fixed at some point in the future. I dont know a single person that enjoyed playing this track on pc and that is for a reason.

Well I can still see the driving line, but it is more unclear, it's all based on theme over driving line here. I don't particularly like the track but I don't hate it, quite mediocre so to speak.
Some tracks just get released because of this reason Blubbi, it's meant to give that wow in the moment so to speak look, I know as a speed runner you'll dispise this, I know how you feel but I like both feels as it gives an all around atmospheric look, but IMO I think it should of been dulled down and other things should have been used in its place for the snow fall and blizzard effect to help keep a smooth balance between both driving line and theme.
I don't feel it's aggresive, I feel you have a valid point.
