The capturing outpost thing is at the core of what makes Far Cry (after No 3 anyway).Managing and expanding a tribe is not really somthing that speaks to me in this type of game, but if they come up with some unique and cool mechanics it might work. But if it is only used to generate "oh no xxxx is under attack hurry up and drop what fun you are having now and come and defend" then NO!!!
I've only very looked at Wild a bit but I see a bunch of similarities in some mechanics and themes, but I have a feeling that they will play very different.I have a feeling that Primal will have a tighter story focus, which I prefer.
Horizon is a different beast we have yet to get any real details.
The 3 games from E3 that got my most hyped was Horizon-For Honour and Ghost Recon Wildlands.

From what I can tell I don't think theres really much management required. It seems like just sort of an arbitrary thing that sort of justifies seeing your tribesmen & women all over since you start out as a small tribe in the beginning and end up growing over the course of the game as you take over more & more outposts. I don't think it's something where we'll have to assign people to tasks or anything, though I suppose there could be systems in place that they just haven't shown yet, but I doubt it.Originally Posted by briangade Go to original post

Wait, didn't you say in another thread you've never even played FC1? haha WTF...Originally Posted by Sabotur Go to original post
Personally I'd rather have a new FC2, I've never been a pc player, but had friends who are and played a bit of FC1 back then, it was alright, maybe by the time i tried it it was a bit outdated so i wasn't as impressed by it as people at the time were, but I'd rather have FC2 style game than FC1...Originally Posted by Sabotur Go to original post
For me it's not realism that makes me not want a return of trigens, I'm just not interested in mutant / alien/ monster enemies... I like the progression of being weak to eventually being a wrecking ball of chaos who can over power the enemy. It makes it so that near end game its kind of easy, but I enjoy that, i like building up to being a little over powered and just laying waste to an outpost.....Originally Posted by Viragoxv535 Go to original post

Also, I wasn't suggesting they remake FC2, we've had far more than enough remakes/ remasters this gen, what I'm suggesting is that they make FarCry 5 set in africa after the events of FC2/3/4. If what the fanbase wants is a remake of FC1, I'm with Ubisoft on the decision not to listen to that kind of feedback, thats just my opinion though, I'm not "trolling" yours, this is whats called a discussion. Two people can calmly discuss 2 differing opinions, thats called a conversation, not trolling....
Fixed that post for ya, while I enjoyed FC2, FC3 is my fav. in the series because they fixed so much of what FC2 didn't quite deliver on and added alot of things it needed. 4 was admittedly a bit to familiar, but enjoyable because it was more FarCry, but they did need to improve more than they did imo... I think a good balance between FC2 & 3 could be the perfect blend.Originally Posted by Sabotur Go to original post
I still have a little bit of hope left that Far Cry Primal is sort of Ubisoft's "Goodbye letter" to the old Far Cry wildlife animations and asset they've used for a total of 4 games now.
Perhaps because the next Far Cry... will have dinosaurs? Eh? Eh?
I'm sorry to say this, but Primal was pretty much the absolute final possible way to suck the last bit of content out of the success you gained out of Far Cry 3.
If the next Far Cry game will still feature the same old weapons, animations and misc. assets that we've already seen and paid for in 2012... then I'm absolutely done. No debate.
