    Opinions of Rainbow Six Siege Beta

    I played the Rainbow six Siege Beta this weekend and here is my honest opinion on my experiences

    the use of characters is a nice way to spice up the gameplay, but you need to remove the character Jager. Her ability to see electronics through walls breaks the game because if a team is not found using the drones her ability to see electronics will give away their position.

    with regards to multiplayer I am not happy to see that all the game modes are single life only. When i used to play rainbow six vegas 2 i avoided those game modes because who wants to sit and wait after they die. I was hoping to see a regular team deathmatch and the return of the game mode team leader.

    the two game modes shown in the beta feel way to similar. this is a problem because people will get bored fast. you need game modes that feel distinctly different. for example battlefield 4 has game modes that give a completely different experience. the modes of conquest, rush, and obliteration in battlefield 4 are completely different and when you play each mode player strategies must be different. when playing the beta every match felt the same even when playing different game modes.

    The terrorist hunts are very improved from the ones in Rainbow Six Vegas 2, but the suicide bomber needs to be changed or removed. the suicide bomber takes a lot of bullets to put down and you almost never hear them coming. either remove the suicide bomber or have them make more noise so you can hear them coming.

    I am not happy that the cover system has been removed from the game. I personally saw the cover system to be a very important tool in the rainbow six vegas series. without the cover system the game feels wrong.

    the gun customization felt a little lacking. you should look at how battlefield 4 did weapon customization for inspiration

    overall I will likely not be buying the game. With no campaign mode and the game modes feeling to similar i worry that i will get bored of this game fast and it wont be worth the $60

    I have not played the beta but have read these forums/watched some video and yes 100% agreed the "bombers" are a bad idea.

    In vegas 1+2 terrorist hunts which I played a lot of the whole point was it was one shot deadly for you + the AI on "realistic" difficulty which mean the game had tension but in a fair way.

    Having an enemy who can instantly blow you up + take some damage doesn't sound to me like keeping with that traditional las vegas terrorist hunt.

    The damage to walls/general destruction does sound like an improvement but that enemy is not.

    Although I liked the cover system in vegas 1+2 and thought it worked well I don't have that much of an issue with them trying something different.

    My other issue is the time limit, this might be fine for 5 players BUT when you are playing a private match with say one or two friends that doesn't seem very generous and encourages rushing which is totally against what this game should be.

    15 minutes hard and only 12 realistic doesn't sound enough.

    Personally I only ever played pvt matches in terrorist hunt mode with NO time limit at all, game didn't need artificial tension, it had plenty due to how deadly enemies were at least on "realistic" difficulty.

    I did prefer vegas 1 to vegas 2 as I think putting in a run button + adding a respawn to terrorsit hunt didn't improve it.

    Basically as a thread of mine says both bombers + time limit should be optional and as I am not a VS player this mode needs to have these type of options IMHO for this game to be worth full price.

    Pretty much this^
    There is just no reason for me to pick this game over a game like halo 5 which has a 10 hour campaign mode with co-op and multiplayer. Sory ubisoft but the decision to not include a campaign is a big mistake. If other games can do it, then why can't rainbow six siege do it?

    To be honest, this is exactly how I feel. This game is not worth $60. If Ubisoft doesn't lower the price, sales will not be as high as they would like and the game will die quickly.

    The big reason is the end result, what'll be used more? campaign or the multi-player, statistically it's clear, and I am understanding and frankly thrilled they decided this because the multi-player can be filled with more features and such since they don't have to waste a huge amount of resources on the campaign, obviously people say it's a Tom Clancy's game so it's gotta have an amazing story of his, but he's dead, not sure if he did or didn't write any of the other rainbow six stories but if that's true is it worth the risk?
