    Dedicated Servers

So Ubisoft its almost 2016 now and you still want to annoy your players with hostmigration and a bad gaming experience due to packet loss of single persons which ofcourse always get "host"?

    STOP THIS MADNESS

Dedicated servers is a must have. Microsoft is offering them to you so take em. they are working for every platform btw.

I think it would also increase Game Performance because the destruction aspect of the game. is done by the cloud. Improving Scale, Graphics and what not...

Ubisoft and Rainbow Six Siege are using Dedicated Servers. Voice Chat and Squad Creation are the only thing P2P; hence the Host Migration message.

They mean server browser. The way it is now dedicated servers don't make any difference at all if you can't browse them.

Makes total sense to run voice chat and squad creation via peer to peer (caution ironic). Look @ Titanfall when you start the game you connect to a servercluster and everything runs over there servers no p2p worries. so the server can create squads based on skill and connection and then hand it over to the server witch hosts the game itself to do chat and game. Good bye Hostmigration and games which cant be payed to the end due to this ****.

    I agree

If they want any form of competition on PC they will need rentable servers.

Well ... Ubi wants to go into the competetive gaming sector for the very first time. They dont really have the knowledge to deliver a solid competetive game. You can see this in almost every aspect of the game even if its general gameplay idea is very very good.

The main idea behind those games is to bring in any amount of players and deliver a interesting ruleset and best possible conditions for that competetive game to happen. You cant secure best possible conditions for every player when 1 player is (randomly?) picked to host the whole process ... you can even feel it when you play. Movement feels clunky and laggy , hitregistration is weird , gameflow is interrupted (host migration) and so on ...

Release is coming somewhat soon and they wont be able to change their whole network architecture to release. I doubt they even realize the problem or have any clue what a competetive player wants. Since Siege shows that it is just a very lazy console-port for the pc ... i wont consider buying it at all ... ( i also hate the gameflow ... you stuck in matchmaking screens , loadout and strategic menus and loading screens for at least 50% of the time ... gnah )

Loading screens are really too long, and too there are too many of them, replay is too long after death or win (it is quite anough to show only 1-2 last seconds.
