Thanks for getting in contact and providing this feedback. So we can get this looked into further, could you please confirm the platform and data center you are currently attempting to play on.?
Please note that we have received reports of connection issues on some of our servers and our team is working to identify the cause of this get things cleared up as soon as possible.
Hi, your servers are busted, and here's why:
I'm from Northern Europe, but the game places me in Western Europe servers, also, back when I played the game I used to have 40 ping in Northern Europe servers.
Now, for some reason, Western servers have better ping (60-70 ping), with bad packet sending, I just die without hearing bullets or before I see the enemy. On Northern Europe I get worse ping (65-75), but with better packet sending. But both have the same problem of my hits not registering. Can't tell you how many times the drone won't detect the bomb when I look at it on Western, or how many times I get shot before I see the enemy on corner, no, not prefire, but some weird lag on the server side. On Europe, it's a little better, but still worse.
What are you doing with your servers? Also, it's not my ISP, I got great internet, optic fiber in house, it should not have this problem.
No, servers aren't busted it'll be to do with something with your connection.
Server ping is just how quickly that server/device can send a response to your machine, common things that can delay this or cause a higher ping:
Anything else using your bandwidth, e.g. downloading/uploading files
Virus scans
Wireless (always use a LAN cable where possible due to interference).
Then have a look to see what else is using your bandwidth, because if it was the servers, there'd be a lot more people complaining. Failing that contact your ISP/run speedtests/run your own ping/tracert tests. Thinking it is the servers is a very quick jump to your conclusion.Originally Posted by Gormonculus Go to original post
You know what IS a confirmed problem with servers (speaking for console)? People playing in the wrong ones. I'm in EUS (Eastern United States...Virginia to be exact). My games are LOADED with players from Central and South America...on a VERY regular basis. It's almost like someone was confused, and thought "Central America" and "South America" are actually places IN the United States. They will literally take a team of us players with 20-pings, and match us up against ENTIRE squads of players from those locations, all with pings 100+. That's no imagination there. That's legit, proven, and studied over a period of time.
