.......just not this week, haha!
Ummm, seriously though. The naval museum there is a-maze-NG. They let you get up close and personal with all aircraft. There are NO barriers between you and the planes, and I'm sure they would let you snap the cockpits. They have at least on variant of almost ALL planes used by the USN.
Also, maybe I would be of some help. Ya see, I live in a crappy place called Texas, in a crappy town called Corpus Christi, and we have an eyesore called CV-16, the USS Lexington on the beach with a remaining TBD Devastator. If requested by the game developers, I might go and try to get some shots of the 'pit. It should still be in good condition, as it is on display. It is on loan from the PensaColon Naval museum.
So, game developers, post if ya want a 1st generation reference on this plane.

Devestator? Are you sure it's not a Dauntless. The NAM has restored several ex-combat SBD's which were lost in training in the Great Lakes.
In 2000, I was with my WWI historians group and we were in their shop. There was a SBD-2 from Midway via Lake Michigan on the rack in bare metal with a bullet hole!

According to the list of planes on display at the museums web site....they have a SBD-3 Dauntless and a TBM-3E Avenger...but no TBD Devastator is mentioned

Yes, the Pensecola Naval Aviation Musuem is one of the greatest.Tons of aircraft in excellent condition and you can walk right up and touch them. Theres even a portion where it is set up like the deck of a carrier, the floor is set up just like the wooden flight deck with a low hanging Hellcat coming in to catch the wires.

My Mother in law ran the Office for the Pensecola Naval Aviation Musuem about 6 yrs ago. Too bad I lived 2400 miles away, or is it?

As a former resident of Pensacola who has visited the museum many times over the years, it's distressing to read today that NAS Pensacola received damage from hurricane Ivan with initial estimates of $100 million. Those of you who've been there know the museum occupies a prime piece of real estate across from the pass (entrance to the intracoastal waterway and the Gulf of Mexico). Damage to the base, according to the C.O., was "near catastrophic". No word on the museum as yet, but the surrounding community was devastated. It will be a long time before life in that area approaches anything close to normal.

The Devastator comes from Pensacola, but is displayed here in Coprus Chrispy Texas aboard the USS Lexington. In Pensacola, it is represented with a scale (1/48 or 1/72) model. The real one is on the Lex.

I went through Aircrew and SAR school there. I've swam in that bay and run on that sea wall. Hope they are able to recover.
