Hi,
The special challenges are great, as was the last... but unfortunately I do have a complaint. I saw it was an Infinite Tower 500m, but it was a normal challenge... Infinite Towers are only ever extreme, unless edited to be normal, and they're usually 250m which also means this special challenge was double-extreme. Hopefully it was just a mistake (wrong button?), because I remember when my dad couldn't even reach the end of a 250m challenge... I really hope there weren't any new players who played Friday's challenge, couldn't even get halfway to the top and thus were wondering what on earth extreme challenges are like, and at worst may have even been a bit put off. For this reason, much as it was a great challenge, imo challenges like that really need to kept as extreme, and never normal. Plus, I think we should keep Infinite Towers as a nice reward for those who reach Level 5 awesomeness and unlock extreme challenge paintings.
Also, I would quite like to see this thread stickied and used for anyone to give their feedback on the special challenges when necessary? I think it would be useful and I see we don't already have one.
I'm on the fence. I think keeping them (the 500m+'s) in extreme is a good thing because it doesn't take away from the normal challenges, but at the same time I like them in the normal challenges because it gives more players the chance to play. Perhaps a good way to settle would be to put them in the normal weekly challenge? That way you get the most players and players who want to get higher aren't forced to do so in one day.
Take the longer distance pits for example (lets use today's). It's currently a race to 300m. Normally around noon my time (eight hours into the challenge) there's a good thousand or more people who have played. I can wake up and see that there are at least 15 to 20 people who can get a platinum. Today when I got on at noon there were only 687 people who completed it. I was in 7th place but was still only in gold territory simply because not enough people have played. The harder the level is to complete, the more people don't want to finish it, and they don't. It makes everyone else suffer because it's then harder to gold/platinum. Putting these challenges as the weekly normal basically ensures you'll get the most players for that challenge and the easier it is to get the higher trophies. I guess what I'm trying to round out to say is that I like the special challenges, but only every once in a while, and it would be best if we put it on a place that the most people can play for the longest time.
I dread the day we get a special challenge where it's something like a race to the finish in the dungeon for something like 1500m. That is the day I don't even attempt haha.
Hello guys!
First of all, i do love Rayman Legends. I have it on ps4, finished and platinumed it.
So i've bought it on psvita. Loving so far, with murphy levels.
But, i see that there is a problem here. For you guys that want to platinum it, you have to do a trophy that is very limited for psvita players.
Given the actual players that do challenges, it is extremely frustrating.
Lets look at the numbers:
Daily challenges: 500~600
Weekly challenges: 700~1000
It is a very, very small and limited player base.
So, you have the "Champion" trophy, that you have to win a diamond cup on one challenge. To win a diamond cup, you need to be the Top 1% of the world. You guys are just throwning at us that we have to be the 1~5 in the world to have the trophy, and for that, i am assuming a 500 player on daily challenges, because it can be worse with 400 players, that way you have to be the 1-4 player in the world.
Dont get me wrong, i do love the game. As soon as i finish it on psvita, i'll do on ps3 too. I have many diamond cups on daily and weekly challenges on ps4. But on ps4, we have something like 3000~6000 players doing that. You need to be the 1-60 player in the world basically to do this.
You guys can go now on challenges on psvita, and see that the very same players get the diamond cups. It is always the same players basically, on 1-3 places. With that, we get even a harder situation, you need to compete for 1 or 2 spots most of the time.
You guys are asking too much, given the actual situation, i repeat, a very small and limited player base, and that will be worse as long as the game age.
I'm asking you guys, to patch that trophy (the requeriments). Make the Diamond Cups the Top 10% player base, or at least the Top 5%. We can do that. It will always be hard, and time and practicing reward, but doable.
Make the same you did on the Social Lubricant trophy for Watch Dogs. You guys can be good to community sometimes.
Love you guys.
As my only post ever on this gaming forum, I couldn't agree anymore with what you are suggesting. After purchasing this title from a sale, I've seemingly fallen back in love with platformers once again. This trophy, as childish as it might be, just leaves such a sour taste in my mouth. I've never had a trophy make me reconsider my personal opinions on the quality of a game, but here I am. As unlikely as I find it being, I do hope a patch of somesort will be issued.Originally Posted by dkTTT.BR Go to original post
You just described what i was thinking about for the last few weeks trying to do challenges. It's kinda sad that i only check dailys for bugged challenge so i can get my diamond cup. For some challenges i can get into first 20 but that is the best i can do. 1% is too low atm, some of the top players are getting close to 1000 diamond cups which is really impressive but for normal players it's like winning olympics right now. I would love a change for 5-10%. I really love the game, it's looks and plays amazing. Hopefully someone will bring up the issue with dev team or someone who can make it happend.Originally Posted by dkTTT.BR Go to original post
It's so sad that a perfectly programmed and delightful game is ruined by a sadistic and unobtainable trophy on the Vita version. Even sadder that a stickied post does not have its important feedback taken upon by the designers and that the problem is not dealt with after months and years. Ubisoft, this needs to be fixed.
Well said!Originally Posted by StorybookComa Go to original post
Hello, I love this game.
After all the games i have in my collection I always come back to Rayman Legends because of the fast paced speed run platformed bliss.
But after getting to the end of the single player with all the paintings and the invasions that give new looks and then warping them backwards on themselves with other paintings the challenge section (Even though it's a blast) seem pail in comparison.
It would be a simple thing to just randomize the theme to make them into the Roman, food, toad and fiesta levels and maybe if you feel like a challenge add the Invasion levels as well.
So in the hopefully small wait time between this and the next game please take my suggestion to take your already fun challenge section to the next level.
