Don't rely on your opponent to keep the pace, as it's not always easy to know when they're gonna play next.

But on that note, an in-game PvP chat feature would be a nice addition, maybe similar to the feature offered in Blizzard's Hearthstone, with pre-made phrases and what not!
I think you mean unless you are sleeping more than 6 hours. 18+6=24. I think it's a strange amount of time personally. You have to plan ahead a lot more.

18h is bad, it f**ks up my daily schedule so now i have to organise my life with showdowns. No way.!
As far as seasons go i think the 24h is the easiest to manage.
We already said here that if we can choose showdown duration it would be great.
    1H - 2H - 6H - 12H - 24H options...!!!

18 hours is definitely a weird one...I quite like it though.

I'm starting my showdowns at 1pm daily time (I have my lunch break between 1-2pm) and the event ends 9am the next morning. I'll just wake up a bit earlier than usual and make sure I'm winning on my games before I start work

i'm in the camp that thinks 18 hours is annoying. With 24 hours i could space them out to have one end around lunch, one end when i get off work/dinnertime and one closer to bedtime. Now they all end up ending while i sleep and i either have to start them all at the same time or ignore the start of some.

Would be nice if you could ride even if you have a completed match, but i could see how that would be painful to code
