Whats with all the talk of the K4 being a "noob plane"? I haven't flown it since AEP, and didn't fly it much before that.

I only fly online, and peeps are constantly complaining about this and that being a "noob plane".

As far as I am concerned, the La-7 is still the only plane that fits that description, IMHO.

    Exactly

the K4 takes skill to use

to get the most out of a bf109 requires pitch management . . . . not that easy

& the Mk108 requires precise aiming . . . . even then it also requires a bit of luck

    .

anyone who gets shot down a few times then whines about it is the real looser

    i mean its a combat sim .........

if you dont like being shot at & shot out of the sky then dont play FB

    un-install it off your computer

go out to the store & look for :

    "MicroSoft Flight Simulator 2004"

its highly recommended amongst lawn darters

The climbs about 4m/sec too fast from sealevel up to 5000-6000m. But this hardly makes it noob plane. Stiff controls at high speeds and the poor precision of the Mk 108 makes it a tough plane to handle. Although a well flown K-4 is probably one of my worst adversaries.

    K4 a n00b plane ?
hell no its a brick and its only advantage is its climb rate but that doesnt let you win a fight on its own
im flying the 109s most of the time and im not impressed by the K4 except its climb
i find the G6AS G14 and G10 much more effective in a high speed dogfight
the K4 is more stricted to BnZ while the other later series can do pretty much everything including TnB to some degree

    Fly the 190!

But get a dry erase marker and put a dot where the revi crosshairs meet. The first bullet (Any caliber) will knock that thing off, so you have to have something to aim with.. hehe

Im joking of course, it's a well known bug and will be fixed.

But seriously, get out of those baby planes and fly the 190!

There are no n00b planes (except the 109Z in a 1944 server! ).

Bf 109K-4 is a difficult plane to fly and fight with effectively. Its very fast but it looses its manuverability over 350 kph. By 550 kph its virtually a cement brick. Essentially the K-4's strengths are its superior climb rate to virtually all other types and its impressive speed in most conditions.

Just tried that... very cool, but

its even scarier ( and kinda funny) when the wings come off at 601 kph and you end up making pilot pancake all over the countryside, as i did.

Just another piece of evidence that there's no such thing as gravity, the earth sucks.

I've watched K4s take advantage of their climb rate to get altitude, then B&Z hapless victims, hammering them with the big canon, then zooming back up to altitude for the next run.

There are purists here who consider that tactic to be a blunt instrument, primarily used by the inexperienced. Hartmann and Barkhorn both used this tactic in Russia with some success, and clearly they were "newbies."
