Hi guys,
I'm a new player. I've only played for a few hours and I enjoy parts of the game very much. I can't say I like the save/load system but I'm living with it. But I find without a doubt the biggest flaw with the game is the absurd amount of dangerous animals. Its just ludicrous, both from a believability standpoint and an enjoyment standpoint. How could a society exist in a place where no civilian can last five minutes without being torn to pieces? Even groups of armed men aren't safe. When I first started playing and I heard people crying out for help I would eagerly rush to their defense. But after a while you just become numb to it because it happens so often. Is that when the designers had in mind when they made it? Its hard to believe.
I play on the PS4 otherwise I would use a mod. What would be great is some downloadable content that allows you to edit things like that, as well as the silly amount of cash left laying around for you to find, in the main game. I'd pay for that.
Thanks guys.
I have to agree with this. The first time I found a karma event to rescue a hostage I was sneaking up on the guard when a leopard came in and killed the hostage.
I've seen people get killed just because an eagle decided to drop down and attack them. One lousy eagle and bang they are dead.
Most karma events calling on me to aid people against animals are over before I can even get into range to help.
I honestly think the Golden path and Min's forces would be better of joining forces and fighting against the wildlife.
It's not the number of dangerous animals that bothers me so much (although I do understand what you mean), it's the number of "Karma" incidents one gets challenged with - especially when the game stops keeping the Karma score when one is barely half way through the game. That to me is really bizarre.Originally Posted by human_male Go to original post
It is often that way with Ubisoft and random events they tend to happen way,way WAY to often. I wound up seeing most of Kyrat from the air because I could not be asked to deal with 500 hostile aninals pr citizen and karma events repeated ad nausium. IMO the biggest blemish on a rather fun game(and the god awfull ending(s))
Surprisingly, I never really had much of a problem with the hostile animals. I admit, there are quite a number of them, but you are in the wild mate and it would be pretty boring if there were only a few wild animals around. The "Karma" incidents though, I agree with. That's one thing that definitely needs to be worked on.
I have to agree that the repetitious nature of environmental occurances is overdone. You really ought to be able to explore the place without having an incident every minute or so. This for me ruins the game. I've just decided to replay FC4 again after a year has passed, but after only 15 minutes I'm bored with it. Can't stand the signposting either. Are we all so dumb as to not have a clue?
I've tried several times to get into FC4, and while I love the setting and gameplay, the crazy aggressive animals just ruin it for me. I can't go anywhere without eagles or badgers or snakes scaring the crap out of me. I play games to relax, not to get anxious about when I'm next going to be attacked out of nowhere. When I do play I stay in vehicles and on roads and avoid spontaneous exploration, which completely ruins the point of the open world.
