    Offline/LAN compatible?

As I am in a rural area and have no access to high speed internet. I was wondering if the story/campaign will have the option for Offline/LAN co-op? If the answer is yes, I will be pre-ordering 2 copies of this game ASAP! Thanks

If UbiSoft requires Wildlands to use "UPlay"... as in it's past games... I think you will be out of luck. Time will tell.

It wouldn't be bad if they only required you to ''check in'' every 24hrs or so. But my internet can't maintain a constant connection to play them types of games.

IIRC, most of Ubisoft's new DRM is "check in" based. It checks in a few times while you're playing the game. You may have to wait for it to validate you before continuing, but it's a lot better than the Assassin's Creed 2 era "Always On" DRM.

Im kind of in the same position as the original post. I play online off a hotspot which is by no means reliable, especially during storms. Hopefully the game will have an offline functionality. Time will tell though. Im a patient man, within reason.

    So does uPlay:

Steam does many things better than uPlay. Offline mode functionality is something that they share though.
