I just installed SP2 the other day, and after it was done, I tried starting up some programs. Some worked fine, but others--mainly games--crashed the computer. It would restart, and it would tell me that a device driver (I'm assuming my gfx driver) caused some sort of fatal error.

I then proceeded to uninstall the service pack, and there were no more problems. I have a GF FX5200, and I tried the games with 61.77 and 61.76, crashing both times. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this problem, or do I really have some sort of hardware/software issue?

    Thanks in advance!

maybe your drivers have to be installed after you have aleady installed sp2. I have 3 pc's two ati cards 1 nvidia card never had any probs with sp2 in fact all my games show graphical improvements and more stable fps. I admit I was leary about sp2, so i tested it on my lesser pc's and was convinced it worked better. so i put it on my gaming monster... runs great....good luck
