I guess this topic might have been discussed a LOT of times but I just started playing FAR CRY 4 a couple of hours back on my XBOX 360 console.Though I enjoyed the game, despite some minor hiccups, a major annoyance is the "You are leaving the mission area" warning. Is there any way to deactivate this warning? Or is this a game feature that I will have to endure till the end of the game? The problem is that this feature kills any exploration that a player would want to do. If every mission coming with this warning, then the whole point of "open world" is lost. Every time I have to wander/explore only the area within the mission. Also, if I complete a mission , without exploring the area fully, I cannot come back to that area unless some other mission brings me there. I'm seriously finding this "leaving mission" warning to be a major hindrance in enjoying/playing this lovely game. How did the people, that finished the game, cope with this feature?
Hey brijester,
When it says you are leaving a mission area it says that because you are in mission. When you are not in a mission it does not say that. While not in a mission, the game is completely open world. You are not allowed to go past a certain point into Northern Kyrat until you complete certain missions, so there is also that exception. But the game is very much open world, and I can attest to this because I spent a great deal of time NOT doing missions and just getting achievements, upgrading stuff and having a lot of fun doing whatever I wanted.
Hi, I have gotten that message before as well, but only once or twice when trying to flank around, or get to a better position to snipe from. Sometimes you end up pushing along the boundaries so you have to just make do with what you have and find a good spot to hunker down, even if it wasn't your ideal spot. But most of the time it was not a major problem. The game only does it during missions, which usually take about 5-10 minutes. Where as the majority of the time you are free to wander about![]()
