Hi SP. Thanks for the message above - I am researching an issue and just found your assistance. I have an issue and perhaps you can help? I am running 64bit Win10 pro.Originally Posted by SP_937_215 Go to original post
I have already installed FC1 and am over half way through. I have had no gameplay issues. However, I would like to save games and then reload them. It seems to save the game but will not load a saved game, I cannot get god_mode or any other commands like that to work. I think it is a permissions issue! I am using default profile only.
1. Games seem to save but they don't really, and cannot load saved games!
2. cannot get command to actually work in the ` drop down menu.
3. if i go back and play in Administrator mode it wants to start the game all over again from the beginning! Ahhhhhhhh. I won't do that.
So, do you know a way I can somehow save all my game play and still start playing in admin mode from now on? I am thinking of reinstalling the game in c: as you suggest and then dragging the entire directory over but i suspect that won't work and don't want to waste so much time. Thanks.
Yes it works on my PC. You must install and use the FC no cd crack. With the no cd crack it works on my PC, install in Directory C:\FarCryOriginally Posted by SRFJuly2016 Go to original post

There's an easy way to solve this problem. You have to install the game on C: and NOT into the automatically inserted folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Farcry
After that search for a nocd crack and be careful that it doesn't contain any sort of virus or something like that. Just copy that crack (the exe data for starting the game)
into the Bin32 folder inside the game folder you choosed earlier in the installation. Be sure to replace the old exe. I advise to make a backup of the original exe.
Just start the game, I didnt used administration rights. No compatibility mode is needed!
By the way, if the installation stops while running, just try to calm down and wait a little bit longer. The installation seems to be stopping at some points. It may take a few minutes longer to get into the next step. A Few minutes mean about 8 Min in my installation!
Thanks for your reply @wasDasSpas. I have tried everything and I still cannot get the Developer Mode to work on my Win10 x64 system. This is the key to getting the cheats to work. Please note that I tried the following and tested each step of the way. FC1 plays perfectly well on my computer in every combination below but I need to cheat to get through the very last section of this game. This is really pushing my sanity to the edge. Thankfully I have been able to preserve all my save points in the game. Here is what I have done:
Copy the entire install directory to my Desktop to save all the original files and game play and profile.
completely uninstall fc1 and then do a clean install to the C: drive
update with the 1.4 patch
put in the noCD crack as per above advice
amended the FC shortcut by putting in the -devmode command line as per many other sites instructions
amended the devmode.lua as per many other sites instructions
changed ALL permissions to full access in every possibly way
tried in compatibility mode WinXP SP3 administrator mode all users
I have spent hours researching what to do. I hope you or someone out there can assist.
Thanks.

Every Action should be performed with Admin Rights!
1. Install FarCry1 to C:\ not to C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Farcry... Important!
2. Install the "farcry_amd64upgrade_xx.exe" (xx depends of the language) Update.
3. Install the "farcry_amd64_ecu.exe" Update.
4. Start Farcry (64bit) with Admin Rights. No compatibility mode is needed.
That's all! Everything works fine (Tested with Windows 10 Professional (64bit))

Apply the below given solution to get rid of this issue:
Reinstall Microsoft NET Framework.
Reinstall Microsoft Visual C + +.
Reinstall DirectX (version 11 is required to play Far Cry 4).
Install the latest Windows updates, from “Windows Update”.

I FOUND FAR CRY 1 CRASHES ON WINDOWS 10 SOLUTION:1)WHEN YOU INSTALL THE GAME CHECK THE DESKTOP ICON(SHORTCUT) CREATION.IT WILL CREATE 2 SHORTCUTS(FAR CRY 1 AND FAR CRY 1 MAP EDITOR).YOY MUST RUN FIRST THE MAP EDITOR.WHEN MAP EDITOR IS COMPLETE YOU CLOSE MAP EDITOR AND OPEN FAR CRY 1 (INSTALLED GAME LOCATION FOLDER ) ON YOUR HARD DISK.YOU WILL SEE THE system.cfg file. OPEN IT WITH NOTEPAD AND FIND r_Height AND r_Width .YOU MUST CHANGE THEM AND PUT YOUR PC SCREEN RESOLUTION Height AND Width.. THEN GO IN BIN32 FOLDER AND SET COMPATIBILITY MODE TO WINDOWS XP SP3 FOR FarCry.exe.Originally Posted by Vern Anderson Go to original post
