Wow...Has Ubisoft herd of ZBR? Poor Zombi...

    ZBR: "Zero Bugs Regressed"
This is a term used in the test process in which all minor bugs/crashes that have been submitted into the title/projects database have been regressed/double checked for "fix clarification." This is how we double check to see if bugs/crashes still occur in game before release.

    Ubisoft, this is seriously terrible.

I'm 30 min into game(Zombi PC) and crash?
Didn't this game come out like 3 years ago?
I am a video game tester, and this is very unacceptable.

Do you not know how to port your own games?
Oh so you just decide to rush it out because that's what everyone else does right?
    Lazy, lazy, lazy...

Hey here is $20, thanks for the great times crashing my pc all day wondering if my computer is going to explode.
WELL worth the slave hours I worked to purchase this crash.

Good luck in your future endeavors to making profit.

We all remember how bad the last Assassins Creed release was.
You had 3 years to port Zombi, and 30 min into game I can't even play.
    WOW.

    Just WOW.

    OH, and PS.
This is the stupid work around crash.
Why the HECK am I having to per "REPRO STEPS" for a "RELEASED" title!
Like I said, I test video games for a living.

I will complain if you take this post down, I have not cursed or used any obscene language.
    I have my rights.

Of course we aren't going to delete your post! If you follow the rules your post remains. Feedback and information on people's experiences are very important to us, we need to know what's going on as much as you need to voice your concerns, complaints, comments or just simply discuss games.

Being your first post you likely haven't been caught up on the crash situation people are having, but you DID post here in a thread meant to address crash isues while the dev team looks into it so I assume you at least know we are on the case.

The WiiU version of the game has been out for 3 years. ZombiU was not intended to be on any other platform until later feedback from gamers told us that people who did not own a WiiU wanted the game as well. We were not actively working on the port for 3 years. As a game tester you should well know that the WiiU infrastructure is different than a PC's. Porting between them is not as simple as writing 3 lines of code to make the game talk to a PC setup. A whole lot goes into making a game work for PC, an entire team for months.

Of course we test our games, ports and all. If we had found as many issues as are being reported we would have delayed the release. One issue here is that we do most of our testing on the supported specs for titles. Some having crash issues are playing at supported specs, its true. However a majority of gamers reporting crashes for Zombi are playing it on a Windows 10 machine or with dual video card setups, neither of which is supported by the game. For some with these setups the game may work just fine, but playing a game outside of it's specs often presents many unforseen problems, you take a risk if you play outside of supported specs.

By the way, what is your setup?

The boggled AC release was something we not only owned up to but tried hard to correct and make up for. The game runs amazing these days, we never gave up on it. We also offered free current (at the time) AAA games (Far Cry 4, The Crew, etc) for the gamer's troubles and free DLC to boot. We do hope that was an acceptable peace pipe but at least let it serve to show you that we do try hard to take care of problems. We are trying with Zombi too and I promise you we won't just let it rot like a stinking zombie.

While we look into these crashes we have provided you with this thread because some workarounds actually are working for people, so at least we can get some up and playing while we investigate. Stay tuned to the forum for any updates, if I hear anything I will let everyone know.

    Refuses to start

I verified the steam files and the uplay files. I also tried running it as an administrator but still "stops working" before the game even starts at all. I also tried running it in both online and offline mode on Steam and Uplay. If there is anything that I can change in the actual game files to fix this, please tell me

Similar crash, but not exactly the same.

My game crashes after I recover the book for the Junior Doctor. The secret passage opens, and I go thru, heading for that backpack you could see earlier. When I enter that room, the ghoul inside wakes up (I think it's a Beefeater, but don't have time to really see), and before it can rise up all the way the game freezes and crashes. I've done nothing special to NVidia, and have just confirmed files thru Steam. I'll also try the "run as Admin" function. After that, I guess I'll try help ticket, not that that will do anything.

EDIT: As stated, I verified files, switched to Admin, and in-game, I immediately backed out when the Beefeater activated. Not sure which of those, if any, helped; but the game didn't crash.

    Dear Chris,

i just bought the game, and it crashes all the time, at the first screen where it says: 'how long will you survive?".

now i run windows 10 and never read that windows 10 was not supported anywhere.

was wondering wether this can be fixed or is already somehow?

or if you maybe know what else it could be?

i have followed all the steps from the first message in this forum from your colleauge already.

I also do not have dual gpu or anything like that.

    thanks in advance,
