For all of you here that live close to or can travel to Reading, Pa this June for the 4th, 5th, and 6th, I hope you can attend the WWII Weekend Show. for details go the the MAAM website. www.maam.org

I'll be there as a volunteer this year at the gate and wandering around. Hope to meet those of you that do attend. Just look for the old fart with a BA.net hat.... well one of them LOL, there might be a few others there with the same hat.

Just holler for GT182 We'll have to have raise a beer to the IL-2 FORUMS and Oleg. If we're lucky and he has the time, maybe he'll be there too. Now wouldn't that be great.

yep I did not go last year due to the rain. I did get to see a few a/c flying about though. I saw a b-17g fly over the house at very low altitude. man was that thing loud.

I live less than 25 miles from the airport

That would be great.... I missed it last year. The Andrews Airforce base open house is coming up in May I think.

I was supposed to have been there last year but the guys at MAAM said I didn't miss much as Saturday was a washout due to the rain. My wife had kindeystone troubles so I stayed home and took care of her.

This year they'll have to hogtie me to keep me away. I'll either travel from the daughter's house in W.Chester or campout near MAAM.

a washout! There must have been 1200 people there! the rain was refreshing, but annoying. Hopefully it doesn't rain this year. I absolutely must see the Tuskegee Airmen. I was too afraid to see them last year. I was in awe of their achievements. I did manage to take MAAM's virtual B-25 off of the carrier tho!

I should be able to make it this year, given the fact I live less than 3 miles due east of MAAM--no excuse, I hear ya...especially if FiFi makes an appearance!

Also, sometime in early May, MAAM normally has their annual open house sponsored by a local radio station in which tickets are given out for free rides on a B-17.

GT182--thanks for volunteering at MAAM--you guys are great.
