    Change in track after upload

Hi guys just wondered something .

I find sometimes after you have created your track , upload it you then sometimes notice some glitches or certain faults that did not seem to be there previous. Can glitches or invisible bumps so to speak just appear after upload. This might have happened in a few tracks but i am sure that in testing these problems were not there before. In my last track on the odd occasion as had reports of the trye catching on something that doesnt appear to be there , the problem doesnt seem to fit to just one area either , it changes from time to time.

I havent had this problem after upload when riding it although it did start to happen just after completion of my previous track in which i cleared and smoothed out , spent all day testing it but i have had one report of it glitching. Is this happening ? can this happen ? or is it the person just making excuses for thier bad riding hahahha. ( joke of course ).

I guess i want to know if anyone knows anyway of trying to avoid this happening , the best solution for that i find is to find out why its happening and then i can put something in place that could possible stop this.

Again im not dead sure this is happening and only have one source to go on , its never happened to my self even after upload and i have tested it with good and poor runs again.

Just a qeuery that could help improve my building and tracks..

thanx if there is any advice guys

My own experience where things are faulty is due lack of testing the whole thing, or resetting properly at every checkpoint in a normal run (without checkpoint skipping editor function).

I had a floating train on an evo track OPE I only noticed after I made a video of the thing, it wasn't track breaking tho.

It was likely due to it looping on a straight line that was far larger then the track, and might have hit a mountain/hill somewhere which offset it's "altitude".

On a Fusion track I had a tower that falls over but if you reset too quick it would break due the way it was set up, but you pretty much couldn't finish the track if you faulted/reset at a certain point/timeframe. And it happened on a PC livestream too ,

Better to be save to either fully restart animation or make sure it's always 100% complete (fallen down in this case).

Reset on checkpoint works differently for different functions/code/objects/targets so imo that's one of the places mistakes can slip in.

Also when using decoration only objects always make sure the actual driveline isn't accidently affected where you suddenly are able to drive/fall through unnoticed objects, especially if it's moving.

I am not sure about the true glitches that happen on tracks though, I have tried recording replays of some tracks (including my own) and a lot if not all replays on those tracks just didn't pass a certain point, I have no idea what causes that.

Just listing my personal experience where I noticed things werent as they shouldnt be.

Yeah i hear you bud , things like animations and so forth i guess are builders errors and not like u say resetting at all checkpoints to test. The tyre glitches tho are somewhat of a mystery because aparranetly they seem to appear in different spots i was told. Not the same place all the time. This is puzzling and also anything such as a glitch on the dl would be noticed if good runs and bad runs and also testing all checkpoint for skill level and other faults. The glitches did appear the morning of the day i uploaded it in testing , i smoothed them even replaced the objects and all day long i played it straight for 5 hours ,i was enjoying the freeze frame camera images lol , faceplanitng was soo funny when freezed. I didnt notice ayny of them and to be honest i still havent since upload. I wonder if its just a random thing.

anyway cheers for the reply and yes i have been guilty of anitmations and other things going wrong and missing them. I have probs with concentration sometimes , i almost always have to upload a fix lol. Even in the track i am talking about if have put the wrong control button in the secret for an operation hahaha. Should fix it but sometimes i feel it make me look stupid uploading another of the same track hahah..

    cheers teri anyhow

I thing i noticed and can also prove is that the editor doesn't show the sunlight/shadows correctly. By that i mean i have an old track where i had the sun shining on certain obstacles and created shadow on others to make it seem like there are windows at the side where the game camera is.
And it looked like i wanted in the editor. It looked the same during my upload run but when i went to TC to play it all my highlighted areas were gone. For some reason the mountains that aren't drawn in the editor (due too draw distance) seem to be blocking the sun after upload which is weird as you would think the editor would show it. And i had this happen again on an other track. Since then im very weary of having the sun at the side of where the game camera is.

I havent noticed that , will keep an eye out ofr it to happen.

Also i have noticed that when in the editor upon start the camera is at a certain height but sometimes when you upload it the camera spans up alittle , did this in a track called shadow rider , i put a roof very close to the riders head but not in view , when upload the camera panned into it causing it to go through it and see all the bad insids of the object. Not sure if it does it every time i forgot to keep an eye out for it.
