This is like asking Nvidia or ATI hehehe.
Myseldf personaly have used both brands and Saitek is way better. The stick software also allows you to get stuck in and program your EVO bigtime (multiple functions for each button)
I would go for the EVO myself, some might disagree, but The Evo is a better stick imho.

Current hardware, Saitek X-45 Hotas.

It depends how long it's been sitting on the shelf. Saitek drivers have come a long way in the last 12-18 months. Check Saitek's site for latest versions.
BTW, joysticks are a personal choice. Try one if you can, as what suits one person doesn't always suit another. Personally I think Saitek's are great sticks. I've used Saitek, Logitech, Gravis, MS, Thrustmaster and a couple who's brand I don't remember. My current setup is Saitek X-45.

I just got the Saitek Cyborg EVO wireless and I'm not getting anywhere using the stick with Pacific Fighters. Impossible to program, in the game itself, or using the Saitek software. I think the trigger works, but that's it. I'm I not doing something right. Love PF but I need some help from you guys.
Any help appreciated...

Great stick at the price. You'd have to spend three times as much to do better. I've had mine 3 years and used every day with no problems. Only glitch is it's a bit light and can slide around the desktop so I've got mine gaffer taped to a piece of plywood.

Start a new thread with your question, it will be missed down at the bottom of a 3 year old thread like this.
Also, leave your email address out of public view or it will end up on all sorts of dubious spam email lists. If you need to pass it on to someone, use the forum's private message function.
