starting checkpoint
hi guys im back again lol
this time its the starting checkpoint giving me a head ache , at the start you reverse back for some secret and the outcome it it turning on something but when it resets to the checkpoint it just resets back. I have unchecked all the reset at checkpoint , even tried to put a set value event and data source on enabling the starting checkpoint to send a trigger after going for the secretl , it just says enabled on the arrows and stays that way even when triggered to the data source.
I am also having a similar problem with another track at the begining , are the starting check point somewhat different and everything gets reset ? tried adding another checkpoint really close which is ok but the time continues and looks and feel odd in normal play when you not messing with the event i have turned on.
Hope people can understand me , basicly the outcome of the secret is being reset if u fault before another checkpoint but after the first and also its resetting at the first if you press circle. I have tried resetting at checkpoint with player event which works but again it looks odd and the time doesnt reset. Thought of using reset to the driveling line a few meters up but again the same thing will happen when i reset or if i fault before the 0.1 checkpoint
I have the button controls being activated , so whether its these that reset auto , i dont know , but its bugging me seriously
can anyone help me please

First checkpoint always resets the track. I think you can avoid it with setting up a trigger so when you go back the game resets you on the driving line (1m) after the checkpoint. Can't remember the name of the event but shouldn't be too hard to find

Events > Player Event:
Bail / Unconscious / Reset to Checkpoint / Reset to Driving Line (0-100%)
For a specific distance, use Operator > Distance.
Target 1 = Left-most Spline point (or CP, can't recall)
Target 2 = Right-most Spline point (or CP)
That will give you your total distance. Now measure from Left/CP to spot you would like to respawn at, divide that by the total distance then multiply by 100 to get the percentage along the Driving Line.

thanx for the help guys , will go have a play with it.
I did try the player event reset at checkpoint and driving line but for some reason that i cant remember , it felt odd, i will go have a look at it again , try the player event and reset to driveline at spline points like suggested and will let you guys know. I think i also added something else to the logic to try and get around this problem , which i think would need to be taken out which would most deffo make it feel better a work how it shoudl

using the reset to driveline worked for what i needed , thanx for the help guys , after all the problem amounted to something i had left in the logic that was activating a trigger i had set before i changed it hahaha but would not have noticed it if not for the help. Thanx again guys
