Clan matches would be fun, maybe similar to Ghost Recon gameplay. I know my guys at Quantum Dawn Gaming will take on any and all comers.

Can easily get a clan scene back just by word of mouth.

PanicZoom had the best idea, but the wrong management.

Well the fact is we have had a really great competitive scene since we had leagues like The International Gaming Syndicate,Total Assault Gaming and a few other ones along with gamespy arcade as our place to gather and find matches. See back in 2001 it was great having a central hub for gamers to congregate like we did on Mplayer and find matches with ease, hang out and chat when not in a match or playing. When publishers and developers started putting game lobbies into the game to browse servers they thought it was a good thing but what they got was a much less social aspect of gaming because they wanted to keep you in game at all time.

This is fine i guess but what it did was killed the community aspect of the game, the part of the experience you don't get on forums because not everyone signs up but everyone is was on gamespy. This lead to the fall of the leagues and gamespy arcade thus killing a huge aspect of the community that gave the games far more longevity and sense of community. We need to get that back, see not everyone is going to get steam or uplay unless forced too if its the only way to play the game and there's no point in clan matching without a great league and community for it. The fact is you can have all the clan features you want in a game but if that's not built into a great league that also involves twitch tournaments and constant community support and involvement then multiplayer will die out fast like they do in most games.

We need a central hub back where players can meet players outside of the game, get to know clans and have a sense of competition back that a simple in game leaderboard cant provide. I know to some this may sound over complicated and some might even disagree but take it from me one of the old admins with the IGS league ive seen those numbers and what its like having 500k plus active users playing on your league playing different games. The fact is for the first ghost recon game we had a steady 300+ clans actively playing and matching for almost 5 years before the game died out. It was one of the largest gaming communities at the time and kept that game active for years longer had we not had the league and gamespy, sometimes the past has to be the future to succeed in many ways.

Looks awesome so far, i just hope the game play is an improvement on all the previous ghost recons before FS.

I honestly couldn't careless about the single player i just hope they put as much effort in to the multi player because that's where it's at. going overboard it isn't what it needs either.

    Clan matchs all the way.

A question for those who went to Paris, is it more of an improvement on FS or is it a completely new mechanics would you say ?

Well see this is the destruction and demise of single player at its finest and why games like siege seems to have put very little effort into there version. Its like i said before its the new breed of gamer that for some reason cant see the value of a great story being played solo with A.I. or in co-op with friends. I think like a stated above that multiplayer is worthless without a community driven league and a place to gather. So with us not having anything like that in almost 10 years i hope they put just as much importance on the story mode of the game despite being in mission form and not telling a real story in the game.

I think it will be fun but lets be honest how many times we gonna kill the drug lord before we realize the environment isn't adapting as a story would from tracking down everything until you reach the climatic end of the story. I think open world is great and i think if this game were to take the way BMAC and AK did it with telling this huge story while having side mission you can do at anytime along the way would be the best way to do it.

Im all for multiplayer but only if its going to be done right and heavily rely on the community and clans with persistent stats from all matches played and player stats being fed to a community driven site its pointless. The fact is if i can only see my wins and losses in game with a few other stats then ill play the single player co-op and maybe a little multiplayer with friends from time to time but will otherwise be pointless as it wont last long. My whole point is don't just listen to the new breed who doesn't care about story or single player and forget you have a huge player base who wouldnt bother with a game that's just multiplayer driven. I can say honestly when i played the first ghost recon i played the single player as much as i clan matched on a league and there were alot of us who did that, for me there has to be that balance in the game.
