My concern is that katanas won't be usable. The katana is the most iconic samurai weapon, and not having it available is disappointing. Having an arrange of classic weapons is a must for games like this. Katanas, claymores, maces, naginatas, kanabos, morning stars, etc.

The Orochi wields a standard katana. The Kensei uses a nodachi, the Shugouki a kanabo, and the Nobushi a naginata. Each class is locked with its weapon.

The wakizashi was more of a 'close quarter katana' than a off-hand weapon. It would be dope if there was gear featuring one on the hip, but sheaths aren't even in the game right now.
