Yes (I compete on the global leaderboard)

No (I compete on the global leaderboard)
No (I do not compete on the global leaderboard)
Introduce the option to disable it from counting
I don't care so why am I voting?
Straight from the squirrel's mouth:
I thought we all figured out long ago that people do not like speedrunning stuff like this when Redlynx decided to stop including skill games in the global leaderboard and did not include FMX either. At the very least we need an option to exclude The Awesome Adventure from the global leaderboard.Originally Posted by En0- Go to original post
Signed, but i know my signature will be in vain. Why are people not complaining? Because we've learned core (or should i say hardcore) players don't really matter that much in the scheme of things. A cynical view perhaps, but one that's not far off the mark. Best we can do is give our feedback and maybe just maybe it will be considered for the next game.
I'm glad I don't play for score, because between fault one zero and the unicorn I'd likely go grey![]()
Hi,
Just a quick message to repeat what has been said somewhere else (stream? I don't remember) that we were discussing internally what to do with this. However, it's not for the reason explained above. It's simply because the track/unicorn is not designed for speed running whereas the global leaderboard is for speed runners.
We'll make a decision in August but at the moment we identified 3 solutions:
- Do nothing because some riders already proved you can grind the leaderboard/speedrun it.
- Remove them from the global leaderboard (unlikely to happen, too complicated to reupdate all the scores of the global leaderboard)
- Allow other bikes on the tracks that can be completed with something else than the unicorn. (can't be done for all the tracks but some of them probably)
Regards,
This is the only true solution but I guess you've already made an excuse as to why you'll never do it.Originally Posted by En0- Go to original post
I think it should stay, not because I like it, but as was stated by Eno. there are people out there who have already put in the time and effort to grind out those tracks for a good leaderboard position. They have to learn how to ride on the awkward unicorn physics just like everybody else. It isn't fair to them to have redlynx say "sorry you dedicated hours on these tracks, but somebody else didn't like the concept so now were gonna take away your well deserved leaderboard position because of it"
If you're gonna say it should be removed because it's to "hard to control" then you might as well ask redlynx to remove the extreme tracks (and some hards even) from the leaderboards, because for some people those tracks are too hard for them.
just practice getting to know how the unicorn controls and figure out how you want to land when hitting downhill or even flat surfaces. and you'll be able to learn how to control it just like you learn how to control any other bike in the game.
I'm guessing this would be the easiest option for RL?Originally Posted by En0- Go to original post
Sounds good to me...and more tracks for bikes can only be a good thing, no matter how whacked out some of those tracks are lol,
Good to know the issue is recognized at least.
But still the best option would be to have the leaderboards as they were on the previous Trials title...
Global Leaderboard,
Global Leaderboard + DLC,
+
(Global Leaderboard + DLC + Awesome Adventure)
Unlikely I know, but would be nice![]()
