Just a quick question to ALL my Fellow Frontier Riders.....

If you have played the 3 main Trials games (HD, Evo & Fusion) on either Xbox 360 or PS3, can you tell me how you Rate them and why.....Eg: Best to Worst OR 1st to 4th if you want to include Frontier as well !?!?

I'm asking because I'd like a few different perspectives on the Trials Saga, I got hooked on Frontier 1st, so I'm still fairly new but I've definitely got the Trials Bug, I've got Fusion now as well (and loving it) but mainly so I could complete the few things that are linked between Frontier and Fusion, I'll end up getting the other two eventually but I was wondering which one would be best to get next.....So if you don't mind taking a few minutes to reply then I'd appreciate hearing your views and any feedback from my fellow Frontier Riders !?

I like Evo best, it's tough to rate the other two since they are years apart. If I were you, I'd play them in order because going backwards to HD will be frustrating as it's less developed than the other two. Evo was just perfect. Fusion added things I didn't really like such as FMX (which I was really good at but still didn't like) and they took things out like tournaments (they were added later but aren't the same). HD was where it all started for me so it has a special place in my heart, but it was a lot tougher (I think) than the other two. All that being said, I like Frontier best because of the added RPG elements. I also think it may have to do with the fact that it uses buttons rather than pressure sensitive triggers. I use the A and B buttons on the console games, so my techniques involve more tapping, which is what I do here. I just can't really do the triggers for some reason, my feathering control is crap. Sometimes I use one trigger and one button if I need to do brake tapping or other ninja style moves, but that's about it.

1) Trials EVO. Basically they took Trials HD and improved it all; awesome Track Central too.
2) Trials HD. A real classic; good bikes, good tracks, tournaments, good skill games, etc.
3) Eating cow manure
4) Poking myself in the eye
5) Sticking hand in buzzsaw
....
32) Trials Fusion. No grittiness (its all "clean").... less functionality (they released it half-finished)... pathetic trick system .... track developers split across too many platforms. . . .badly managed Track Central. . . . I couldnt bring myself to go back after 6 months.

Obviously EVO n°1, the second game i've play most in my life behind gta V
Frontier n°2 cause it's the best mobile game i had
HD n°3 because it was a revolution at that time
N°4 All the TRIALS PC games
Then 5 FUSION

I decided to take Justins advice and bought HD the other day, I think the grainy, gritty and underground feel to it is quality, the game is as addictive as Frontier.....Just one more go THEN I'll sleep !! lol

As I said, I'll end up getting them both in the end but I'll play through HD for a while first before getting Evo as I can only play one at a time anyway !!

Why?

Hooked on to HD and loved it, EVO was great but in the end - not at par for me, and Fusion is not getting anywhere (for me at least). Have all 3 of them on xbox360. Frontier was way better before the pure greed kicked in.

Mind you, all trials franchise games suffered from hackers and leaderboards glitches...

This! Evolution was a beautiful piece of work. Fusion had some nice things but like it was stated above it felt very half-made no multiplayer. I did like some of the new mini games and endless trials but the trick system felt like a stretch. Regardless though, any of the Trials games provide their own unique set of challenges.

Had something likdthis as my post a few days back (which is missing - see my sig):

1. HD - genuine trials (always will be!)
2. EVO - is an evolution of HD but...
3. Fusion - Cause the heck of having it... backfired sorely and is not worth it in the end.
4. Frontier - had a go and was a gem, but now t will be in the bottom of teh list cause of all the bugs and issues within the game. Still playable if you want to spend some free time and if you're a vet.
