Can you get replacement Game discs ?

    Afternoon All,

I am on my second Rocksmith 2014 Disk and it is started to crack from the inside out,

The first disk did this until it cracked too far,

If I have I will buy another copy , but would nice to know if you can send faulty disks back in case they can be replaced

I'm not sure what types of warranties there are on the disks.

I have never had a disc (that was not visibly damaged) break apart due to usage. I've had some that just stopped being read properly, but never break apart.

One thing you can do is to install the game to your console's hard drive and play that way. That will reduce the amount of disc access and make the game have quicker load times and menus.

    Cheers for the feedback ,

already installed on HD, but I know from the first disk , its not just a question of time before the crack grows,

Its the clip inside the case that has caused the damage over time I guess, so any future disk I will hold elsewhere

Some companies will replace the disc for a small fee if you send them the original. You'd probably have to contact support to find out.

This is one reason I like the digital download version (for PS3). I don't have to worry about damaging a disc, and if I have a problem with the game or my HD crashes, I can just re download it when I get the chance.

some retailers have a $5 scratched disc warranty.

But you must be really rough on it, in 25 or so years of playing, burning and buying second-hand game discs and CDs and DVDs, I have never ever ever had one crack.

Are you pressing down on the centre clip rather than bending the disc?

Heck my center clips break off. Never had a disc crack because of the center clips. I've got a lot of cases with the center clips broke off.

OP must be bending the disc from the outside edge.

    Jai,
    Please take a look here-
REPLACEMENT INFO FOR LOST OR DAMAGED GAME DISC OR MANUAL

Don't skip over this first part.

Please contact Ubisoft Support before sending your product to us.

In many cases, a replacement is not the best solution. Our support representatives will help you determine if a replacement is necessary or available. You will need to first acquire an RMA (Return Materials Authorization) number to process your return or replacement. Without an RMA number from a support representative, your replacement request will not be processed.

The only game I have ever had the center ring crack was Skyrim. I know Best Buy offers a replacement plan on game discs.
