Remove the minions, here's a better idea. MAINLY FOR THE DEVELOPERS ND CREATIVE DRCTR

So yeah... Based from the title I was thinking of removing the creeps.
But not entirely, listen to what I have to say.
This is mainly for the developers but I also wanna listen to your feedback

So this is kinda weird. First of all For honor is a great game mainly for melee combat but
I have something else in mind you guys might want to add...

I was thinking of having your own minion team?
In battles I believe we don't plan the war with Generals and Soldiers only, I believe we have leaders
    in each battle.

So yeah, you would have around 5-10 customizable minion and you could call about the maximum
of about 1-3 minions to help you out in a duel.

In calling a minion I was thinking of a different and very weird control. Voice command.
Calling your first minion you must say "Alpha" to your mic and calling your third minion you can say "Charlie".
You can make some of your minions have 3 HP in the price of 1 damage, this way opposing heroes
need 3 hits on your minion. So it's like you need to change your tactic every game because you don't know what the
    enemy is capable of.

Your minion may save you one day, remember the E3 trailer where the viking falls down and the guy with the shield
blocks of the final blow from the knight? that place was located in a place where I believe NPC can't go.

You can upgrade this minions and assign weapons for them and also change their appearance though the color is locked.
But you can change their appearance in every faction so they all won't suck. lol, nothing to say.

For this I believe appearance costumes for the minions should be awards from the campaign to make to players play it or something idk...

AND TO THE GAME DEVELOPERS THEM SELF!
PLEASE LIMIT THE DLC unless they are uplay awards then it'll be fine.

    Meh.

I respect your enthusiasm about your idea, but that would just kill the whole spirit of this game... Exciting duells mostly between two guys. The minions should stay where they are right now, not controllable and always at the same place. What you want sounds kind of relevant to coward players who would always send their minions into the fight before they go into it...
I mean, why would you want to make such a simple masterpiece more complicated with these kind of gadgets? The mindgames and duels themselves are complicated enough and the core of the game. I don't want to care about my 'lesser companions', too, or actually use them for my advantage...

That's just my opinion, let's see what the others think.

It's interesting dude, but don't appear that the devs are going for that approach =/

This idea was already mentioned few times in this forum , so i am going to repeat myself. This can be done , but like entire new mod so players which want to play it can do so and these prefering more "personal" combat play classic mods which give that feel.

Before For Honor, I dreamt of a game very much like this, with each players leading a bunch of Adds and having combat in formation and all that jazz. But I really like the simpicity with which they're treating the Adds in For Honor. It's not fancy, but it seems sturdy. It also assures that the pure PvP encounters will happen a lot, specially in the areas where the Adds don't go.

So, although your idea ressonates with me, I don't think they're gonna do it. And I also don't want them to.

It seems paramount that the Adds are 1-hittable. I don't think the systtem would even function otherwise. You're not supposed to fight a horde of adds like you fight a grup of enemy heroes. Your idea of adds who can take more hits seems very far-fetched, then.

The thing is I want to battle to feel real, yes the pvp combat system is perfect but it feels more realistic when you have comrades struggling by your side like
in real battles. Yes, we do have our Player comrades but it feels allot better when you leave a room with multiple bodies, it feels like you've been
in a situation between life and death.

This might sound stupid and you guys might hate me for it but don't you guys think this game would be perfect if it was
MOBA? But instead of towers we have cheack points which can be taken back.
But not a wide map, three CP each lane would do fine. And instead of lanes we could have buildings/rooms instead.
Also no neutral creeps and especially no shops in each homes like in every MOBA.

If you hate my MOBA idea what about what we have in starwars battlefront II where we have multiple
un captured CP around the map.

Sorry man but to me it doesn't feel like they put strategy to the game.
Also like I said your creeps would just fight normally like what you see now and you can call only 1-2 minions in one time.
You don't have any special commands like telling them to move their and their to flank or sabotage your enemy or making them heal you
    or anything.

With my suggestion it still doesn't make the game use your mind other then skills and logic.
If they were to add strategy they should add the idea of yours of send out minions and make you calculate specific things like
the right angle of where to flank/sabotage your enemy, the amount of time the minion would arrive for a perfect scare to your opponent to leave the CP,
the right minion stats for the situation and all those calculating thing.

I think they shouldn't change much about how it is now. Maybe a bit more damage, maybe a bit taller...but I like the idea to command 2 or 3 soldiers to follow you as the last feat you can unlock/uncharge like the fire arrows. So you have to decide if you take fire arrows or the soldiers for example.

I agree with everything which envolves customization, so I agree with having customizable minions, but only one or two of them. However, they should stay with the rest of NPCs. Sure, they should have more damage output and defence and a lot higher AI than the rest of soldiers (which seem to be there only to be killed by players).
This is a PvP game, at least in the multiplayer, but fighting with so many enemy soldiers should be a little more challenging than just hacking and slashing.

I think making them 2 of the foot follow you around would definitely put a damper on player teamwork. I'm all for customization, but when it comes at the cost of teamwork I have to disagree.

However, if they wanted to make the foot taller, I'm down with that. I think it would help make you feel more immersed. Not stronger or harder to kill, but maybe a random block chance for the foot. Remember they like to swarm and attacks from the foot do hurt, get enough around you and your liable to lose half your life, easy picking for a player.. Their there for a few extra points to build on and provide a distraction for both offensive and defensive purposes that's it.

If you want command of them, I have a thought on that. I mentioned this another thread also. One class from each faction or one member from each team(whichever works better) is designated troop leader(random pick at start of match) and is given the ability/control of the foot. "L1" is yet unmapped so I would use that, besides would make sense. Using "L1" open troop command menu, Attack(Square), Retreat (X), Rally(Circle), and 4th command could be charge/push forward(triangle). A nice strategic move would be to wait until an enemy player is in their midst and use Rally and then attack to get them all grouped together and aimed, more or less, at the player.

This would give the control you like, but you'd still be reliant on your team players to work together and save your bum from time to time and vice versa..
