Optical Camo's crap anyways its worthless except for hiding in a corner and not moving at all

Optical Camouflage really bugs me. Part of the skill of a true sniper is being able to sit yourself down in any terrain, and truly disappear!
If you don't have the skills to hide in plain site, hide elsewhere (round a corner, behind a rock, etc.) don't just offer up an easy route with an "invisibility cloak" type of deal.


In terms of camouflage and customisation though, I'm really hoping that you'll be able to choose what camouflage you can wear (British MTP and DPM, Swedish Splinter, German Flecktarn, American Multicam and MARPAT, etc.)

I think you my have misinterpreted. My point was all these guys that use it think it makes them invisible when in all actuality its not really helping them its pretty simple to detect. I think most people miss use it anyways. I don't mind it being on there. Its not a powerful enough gadget to make or break a game. Used properly though its a nice fancy tool to have while sniping.

You almost have to have it to blend at all with the surroundings considering the limited options of clothing and no gillie suit which sucks. Hopefully they remedy this in the next gen consol/games. I'm sure they will have something better.

The Royal Marine Commando snipers are sometimes told to dig in their position and hide there for a week!
They don't have gillie suits, and just have to use what's around them to conceal their dug-out.
I understand that this wouldn't be possible in-game, and akso that Optical Cloaks are easy to detect, but I just feel that part of the reward of being a good sniper, is to be hidden in plain sight.
If you can just whack on a special cloak and negate 50% or more of the challenge, then I think it spoils it.

Anyway, that's just my opinion.

I just want:
- a choice of camouflage (clothing / chest rigs / backpack)
- a choice of weapon attachments (weapon colour choice would be nice too)
- varied clothing / gear options that don't relate to stats.

Absolutely understand what your saying. Couldn't agree more, but like you noted can't really do those things in the real game would be neat but very difficult to employ in a video game. Worthy of noting though for sure. I think the cloak was simply an easier alternative more than anything. But none the less most the guys I know and play with daily like to go agro scout we don't wanna sit in the back and hide anyways so that don't do us much good. Just depends on your game play I guess...
