Was thinking how would charge attack work here to do not kill an oponent for one hit , to give him chance to survive and keep fighting.
Charge strike::
There some kind of buttom event or dodge it by regular guard mechanic or undodgeablestap enemy to wall or ground like skewer
Bull Strike
Simply stun enemy with shoulder or something like that.
strikes can be depending on which side you are playing for

The charge strike, I'm not so sure of now.. I just don't see the mechanics in it I suppose..
Having it be a feat sounds good, for the reasons you gave. Especially if a shield-bearing class had bull rush feat, instead of, say, a ranged-weapon feat.Originally Posted by Havemercy87 Go to original post
I did an edit on that post lol.. You caught me.Originally Posted by MisterWillow Go to original post
I think it could be awesome if the shield ram where like an "engine feature" so you just have to sprint at your target and run at him without activating something (which is still perfectly dodgeable and not really spamable in a fight because of the sprint?). If you gave the other classes fitting engaging abilities like this too the fights could start more smooth and epic. Of course it would be harder to balance than just feats but it would still feel way better for me.
I don't like that such attacks are just feats because it makes more sense to me if they are integrated better into the game and not being like skills in an regular mmo which won't fit into For Honor at all.
I feel ranged attacks like the shuriken, poisoning the blade or minion buffs/debuffs/commands(like someone said to commad some soldiers to follow you or doing things like the archer salve) fit better for feats.
I can't stop starting my sentences with I
Someone mentioned an Idea for a Taunt feat wich would be able to lock the enemy on you very short so he loses his lock on his enemy. While this could potentially be very annoying (maybe too annoying) I still like the idea because it just does what a Taunt could do: distract someone for a short time. At first i thought this is to strong but the enemy is already in an 1vs2 so he is very likely dead anyways.
I like your idea here on the sprint and slam, or Bull Rush as EuwCS named it. Unfortunately I don't see them putting that in there without it being a feat. Could be passive feat. Hopefully one early if soOriginally Posted by guest-7lONTXP5 Go to original post
Well its just example to kick your imagination. When you sprint and hit someone with shoulder there is much more impact. Nothing bad to use same attack in few options. Same way like light and heavy attack with sword.Originally Posted by Havemercy87 Go to original post
You make a solid point and I still like the idea. A solid sprint at someone should knock them back a step and stun them for a second or 2. If they don't manage to hit you before you can slam into them that is. Wala a Bull RushOriginally Posted by EuwCZ Go to original post![]()
I dont really want to enter in the disscussion, since I don't mind if those movements end up in the game, I just want to tell that there is actually a Charge attack showed in the E3 in stage dev Gameplay, done by a Viking with shield + sword.
I made a post about it (the viking), if you are interested to see the charge I am talking about just check it there.

There was a discussion about it beeing an actual viking or not, I am 100% it is a viking, but well, there is no discussion that he does a charge attack carrying the enemie with him.
