    The Division Web API

As the title states i'm wondering if the developers and UBIsoft will have a way or be set up to provide a web api for all your division stats for clans to display on there clan websites. I know i asked about this in another game and the answer was no and it was more relevant but as a clan leader id like to be able to show mine and all my clan members statistics on our clan new clan website after release.

It would be great, since it's a RPG and online and has the ability to create something like clans.
Dark Zone statistics overall and your own agent, as well as coop statistics.

    Good idea there!

It goes beyond that. DPS meter, GUI-Mods and all the good stuff that is usually a topic with MMOs and bigger co-op games like that. But so far there was no official statement concerning mods or APIs.

With the canned companion app, im hoping they will atleast do something for maybe inventory management or clan management online so I can fiddle with it when im 'supposed' to be working.

I think thats also a great idea like and advanced armory that you could log into, swap gear/loadouts on your profile, show all your gear/player statistics, dark zone kills and more.We need a web API for this though because despite having a steam API it doesn't provide you with all the in game player statistic and that's important for growth and relevance. When games like COD,BF and others moved to an in game leaderboard and such it destroyed leagues because they wouldn't supply an API to them. This also led to the longevity of games being cut more then in 1/2. The idea is that if PVP in this game is going to be very prevalent, weather its single or clan PVP then we want statistics and not just in game.

What does it matter if only you and the people playing the game can see it, you want people from other games to see it when they visit your clan website, friends who don't play the game and more. This is simply free advertising, the more clans plugged in the more people can see it and maybe decide to buy the game. This will also allow for a competitive PVP scene to grow when leagues can be set up for this and display winners and losers and the statistics from those matches or events. Well either way i hope they set up for this so were able to plug into the game and make it more interactive for clans then just displaying steam achievements and basic information from from steam.

Oooohhh. That's a good idea. I'll pass this along to the team and see if they have any response to this idea. Thanks!

Could you also get a statement if they allow any GUI mods to get more information than the minimalistic GUI. So that (if a player wants it) he can have additional information like cooldowns, damage done and many other information in plain view than hidden in some menu. This is usually very helpfull for Endgame - raids and that other good stuff.

Thanks misty, this is very important to the clans that can and will fully utilize an API to get live player statistics and and other game statistics and if need be my clan will gladly make a tutorial video to show how others can implement them into there website also.

@joker & @misty - This with the addition of steaming these days would be epic to have this ability when creating custom stream overlays and then incorporating your custom GUI into that overlay for the perfect combination for playing and steaming. This way of a player wants things off to the site or whatever he can and then those who want basically nothing they can have that too but i think its a must of for overlay designers like myself to have a custom GUI community.

Considering that this game has MMO aspects, and is an "ORPG" at its core, a public-facing API would be absolutely fantastic. Put some requests per minute limits on it to prevent your servers from getting swamped out, but please do provide something!

I very much doubt that there will be first-party mod support for the game though, so implementing UI mods and tools is a long shot... Modding on PC version is always welcome, but considering the online aspect of this game I can't see them supporting it... For worry of users with malicious intent.

Yep, IMO there won't be a support for graphic mods or the ability to paint every enemy-player red or something like that. I only talk about the show/hide/re-skin/ reorganize Interface windows, so instead of the minimalistic GUI where everything is faded out that you don't really need or is not active, you could display the stuff and have immediate access to specific information like cooldowns, buffs/debuffs etc...
