Hey hey,
i'm basically suggesting that while you are in the loading screen / menu between battles you see how your character is either travelling to the next battle or is preparing for the incoming invasion.
The reason behind this idea is simply to don't let the "flow" of the game vanish. In most games you are pulled of the action by cut-scenes that lift the focus from your character just to throw you back in afterwards, leaving you with little to no feeling for the coming sequence and thereby disrupting the flow of the game.
Some examples for possible scenes:
- Vikings checking their gear while sailing to there next destination
- Knights standing around a map in a war room and making tactics for the coming battle
- Samurais leading their horses through the landscape to the next enemy stronghold
and so on... i basically don't want to be reminded that i'm just playing "maps" not battles.
