in my opinion, if there is ever going to be another prince of persia movie (a warrior within) Jason Momoa is the man for the job especially after i saw his performance in conan the barbarian movie he is definitely a warrior within prince material.
this is a photoshoped picture (obviously) by me:
so what do you guys think?! share your thoughts i want to hear![]()
Great photo shop! But I don't think that a Warrior Within movie is ever going to be made since the first movie didn't do very well and they severely altered the plot so I don't know how the Island of time will fit into this. But if they ever do make a movie Jason Momoa would be perfect for the role. I just hope that if they make a sequel to Warrior Within it would be Kindred Blades instead of The Two Thrones because the two thrones was one of the most disappointing games I have ever played......
thank you! its not that the sands of time movie was bad, the acting and plot were fine but i kind of wished they followed the game as a guideline it would have been much more interesting. i know they won't even make a warrior within movie but one can only dreamOriginally Posted by SherShah2015 Go to original post
as for the two thrones, well don't even get me started.. i can talk about what wrong with that game all day, i still like the game but it had some mistakes which really made me sad at some points during the game. but ill go ahead an list few thing that bothered me since were already at it XD
1- graphics: t2t is supposed to have better graphics than the game before it but thats not the case, and what i hated the most was farah's ingame model which sucked with the way her hair goes through her chest and how her hands look like mittens.
2- soundtrack: music was great in t2t but during the game i felt like some songs were repeated too many times.
2- prince voice: i know many didn't like the ww voice of the prince but changing from yuri lowenthal to robin atkin downes THEN BACK to yuri lowenthal again made no sense, they should have at least casted robin artkin downes as the dark prince to keep things clear plus it would have been cool to hear the SOT prince have a convo with the WW prince.
3- free-form-fighting system: i know its taken directly from ww but still it felt somehow stiff in t2t and i do know they removed couple of moves (strangulation and such)
4- some sand monsters like Mahasti (which basically shahdee) and those silhouettes throwing small daggers (copied from ww) shows me that the developers didn't even bother.
5- story: i enjoyed t2t up until i defeated the twin warrior, after that everything felt repeated and boring in a way.. you're just jumping around the city and closing random sand portals and doing speed kills i felt like they just tried to prolong the game a little before you finally reach the vizier.
6- speed kill: speed kill in t2t was awesome but if you seen kindred blades videos you know that it had way better speed kill techniques, esp for the dark prince which had like a hook in the end of his chain and with it he could pull and strangle enemies.
7- absorbing sands: this point proves that the amulet of time was meant to be in kindred blades before they changed it.
in t2t when the prince absorbs sands they go to his solar plexus (where the amulet was located) but wait.. the prince has a dagger in t2t doesnt he?! isn't the dagger supposed to absorb the sands since it uses them to rewind time?!
8- kaileen: wtf happened in t2t?! kaillena was a powerful empress who gave me trouble in combat in more than one occasion but then in t2t she becomes this helpless damsel in distress, what the hell happened?! i understand they were trying to get rid of kaileena in order to bring back farah but personally i wished they didn't kill kaileena.
fans say "the prince and farah share a past together, they went through so much" while forgetting the fact that prince spent a day or two with farah (sot events) while he was alone on a boat with kaileena for 4 WEEKS (plently of time to get to know eachother if you ask me)
9- ending: the ending was disappointing, i really expected a combat with the dark prince.. the mental realm bs was not satisfying for me.
Here are the things that bothered me the most about the Two Thrones......Originally Posted by AladdinAldilawi Go to original post
1.The Maharajah's Army: What happened to it? If you remember playing sands of time you clearly wouldn't remember the Maharajah's men being 7 feet tall body builders who wore black metal armors which made them look like demons. So unless the Maharaja started human experimentation on his army this does not make any sense and proves that they were so short on time that they used the concept design of the army from The Kindred Blades version instead of making something of their own......
2.The Vizier: How is he still alive? He was coughing blood and that was 7 years ago. He should clearly be dead by now and how does he know about the sands of time if they were never created? And why would he invade Persia if he wanted the the sands of time?
3.The Graphics: The graphics is worse than Warrior Within. There is no argument about it.
4.Music: Music may have been good but it wasn't nearly as memorable as the tracks in SoT or WW.
5.Recycling: As you mentioned, Mahasti is just a re-skin of Shahdee. And the giant that you fight is also a re-skin of the brutes you fight in Warrior Within along with many of the enemies.....
6.Speed Kill: Speed Kills are just QTEs. And the game forces you to do them by adding mandatory speed-kills in boss battles or by making you severely outnumbered if you don't do them and if a game forces you to do QTEs instead of the actual in-game combat it show the terrible design choice of the developers.....
7.The Free-Form Fighting System: I always wondered why combat in the T2T felt so unsatisfying and underwhelming compared to the Warrior Within and I discovered why. Here are the reasons why they feel under whelming compared to Warrior Within despite being nearly identical.
a. Enemy Blocking: In WW if you attacked an enemy with your single sword combo a few time they would naturally block. You would then have to do either of two things. You could do an acrobatic
attack or use a double weapon combo which the enemies can not block. But in T2T the enemies block randomly no matter which types of attack you use.
b. The Dagger: The dagger is an underwhelming and weak weapon and none of since most of your acrobatic attacks are done with the dagger it makes the combat extremely long and dull if you
want to fight using your acrobatic attacks....
c. The secondary weapons: There were a lot of unique secondary weapons in WW. But there are only about 4 swords,2 maces,1 axe and 1 dagger in the entire game and some of them were re-
used from WW.
The over use of references: The game is filled with references to SoT to the point where it is annoying, The prince has the dagger just like in SoT, The prince is shirtless just like in SoT, The prince is trying to save a kingdom just like in SoT and the main antagonist is the Vizier just like in SoT and many more things.....
The Ending: I thought that there would be a final boss battle with the Dark Prince but sadly there wasn't anything as climactic as that.......
well, the t2t booklet says that the vizier went to the Scythians and used their help to first take over india (slay the maharajah and his army) and then move on to take over babylon.Originally Posted by SherShah2015 Go to original post

-How is he still alive: i don't know, but yes clearly he should be dead after 7 years of coughing blood XDOriginally Posted by SherShah2015 Go to original post
-how does he know about the sands: in t2t he mentions that when they traveled to the island they found a dagger an empty hourglass covered in jewels and books that contained secrets, so he must have read something about the sands from those books.
-why would he invade Persia if he wanted the the sands of time: the vizier also mentions in t2t that the dagger whispered to him in his sleep and drew him to babylon, this leads me to think the dagger whispers to its holder and shows them visions (just like the prince kept getting visions in SOT after each save game)
you might want to read this, its what the vizier says while you are in the throne room right before kaileenas death scene:
Many years ago, I journeyed with the Maharajah of India to the Island of Time, intending to claim its secrets. What we found was a barren, ruined place; its halls deserted, its guardians gone to sand.
Strange tales adorned its walls, which spoke of an Empress. An Empress of Time! But, of this enigmatic creature we found no trace. We returned to India with treasures none the less: a dagger, a staff, an empty hourglass covered in jewels, and books! Such secrets they contained, for even then I was an older man and knew my time would soon be at an end. The books showed me that life eternal was not beyond my reach, but required the essence of the Empress herself, the power of the Sands. But, you were gone, they were gone. I turned my attention towards…other secrets, leaving my dreams behind.
But then, four weeks ago, the Dagger stirred! Whispered to me in my sleep. It drew me here, towards Babylon. Alas, the Maharajah did not share my joy, would not grant me what I needed. So I slew him and claimed his kingdom, his army for my own. Nothing would stand between me and my desires!RIGHT! thanks for reminding me i forgot about that giant you fight in the gardens which is obviously the same ****ing brute from WWOriginally Posted by SherShah2015 Go to original post
i just wished the speed kills had more variations, at first they seem cool but then as you repeat the same speed kill over 9000 times they became boring.Originally Posted by SherShah2015 Go to original post
let me just mentions that the secondary weapon 'swords' in t2t are directly taken from WW (kaileenas imperial guards swords) you can check it out if you don't believe me.Originally Posted by SherShah2015 Go to original post
farah is acting like a ***** just like in SoT, farah is telling him what to do just like in Sot, they have a big argument mid story just like in Sot, they get back together after just like in SoT, something terrible happens to farah at the end just like in SoT.....etc etc etcOriginally Posted by SherShah2015 Go to original post
when i first saw the KB trailes i honestly thought there would be 2 endings, a good one (like the t2t ending) or a bad one where you choose to embrace the dark side.Originally Posted by SherShah2015 Go to original post
anyway, the reason t2t used so much ref's from the previous game is because they were out of time. this is what i think happened to the development of t2t:
1- they started the project (kindred blades)
2- most of the work was done.
3- they decided to share some trailers (kindred blades) to tease the fans.
4- after seeing the kindred blades trailersfans complained about it being dark like ww
5- after seeing the reaction of fans on trailers the development team feared they would loose the fans and that the game would be a flop
6- they decide to change the game completely (which is okay) BUT there wasn't enough time to do things from scratch because a date was already announced so what do they do?
7- they decide to overuse parts from previous games and make them look a little fancier and succeed in fooling everyone.
thanks for the feedback, glad to see some still care about the pop franchise![]()
The dagger whispering thing is what bothered me the most out of all this. Why couldn't they think about some better plot-device to lead the vizier to Babylon because the dagger whispering to him is just stupid. The dagger never spoke before and even considering that it did why would the dagger help vizier in f***ing up the timeline by releasing the Sands? It should be helping the empress if anyone since she is the one who created the dagger(probably).
As for the swords I immediately recognized the sword from WW except that it had infinite durability in WW whereas it doesn't have that in T2T.
Well, it requires a lot of work to be finished to release a cinematic trailer for a game as it gives out key-points of the story. And in that sense you're probably right. Most of the work was probably finished but they changed it late-development. I just wish that they would have taken their time with it since this is the most unpolished game in the trilogy......
i don't really look at it as "whispering" but more like vision you get in your head (kind of like the visions you get in SoT with each save game) but yes, there could have been a better reason for the vizier to come to babylon, and the prince's father didn't have any role in t2t which made me disappointed.
i wonder who was supposed to be the villain instead of the vizier in KB, or was the vizier part of KB from the start? guess we will never know.
I always wondered who the main villain was going to be in Kindred Blades. I am afraid we will never find out..... I always thought that ubisoft would make a reboot of the Sands of Time series but after all this time I think that the franchise is dead with the Forgotten Sands as their last game and if not for the movie PoP 2008 would probably be the last Prince of Persia game.... Maybe after the AC series has died out which it will since the franchise is constantly loosing customers with each new entry, we may finally be able to see a Prince of Persia game or Ubisoft might forget about the franchise altogether......
