I never spent gems on the slot machine to get a prize. Got all the tracks usually in the first few tries of the day but I must have tried a bazillion days. I don't think I ever got the fourth prize when the counter was high. Got it always early or not at all.

it's not realy about bad luck, if you were to play it every day for a month, enough times to be able to get to at least 20 spins each day, chances are that you would get to a 20+ spins 3 times in that month. the real reason why it seems so rare to get into the 20+ spin range is that most players will struggle to find the time to play the slots more than 5 -10 times a day. i'll often get to about 15 spins, but i don't think I've ever got up above 20 spins myself.

Your chances are even worse because those calcs dont account for the previous 3 columns. To put it simply; you can only win on the 4th column if you didnt win on any the previous 3 in that spin. That doesnt sound that bad since there are only3 columns but since they increase in probability faster than the 4th column they will occur earlier on average and when they do hit they effectively "steal" your chance on the 4th column in that round (and they "steal" from each other too)

It boils down to this, math notwithstanding..... Collect the outfit that speeds up spins...Save gems and when something comes up you truly want... If you are down to only the 4th column with 1 hour left... Invest your gems.

that's a good point, since you can only win i big prize maximum per spin, this reduces the probability of the most basic case of winning of the first spin from 0.01 to 4/5*24/25*74/75*1/100=0.007578 which is significant, but i suspect the difference for larger numbers of spins will be much smaller, due to the branching nature of the problem (the probabilities change depending weather or not the other 3 big prizes have been won or not on previous spins) if i have time, i see if i can refine the calculations.

in general i agree, but if you have all the tracks from the slots, there is not much worth spending the gems on, maybe for rarefied fuel or to gamble some gems in order to win a larger amount of gems.

I think the slot machine is rigged as it tends to give a bunch of Butch or fuel for some spins. The only time I still use gems these days is to get around an impossible jackpot mission if there's still ample time within the 24hr period where it resets, otherwise I'll just wait it out of there's less than 5hrs.. At this point I have over 1000 gems for each of my 3 profiles. Frosted donuts? Nope wait for a spin or daily prospector mission. I haven't even ridden my Donkey since initially getting it.

.....Guess my Luck has changed, a little bit, all I won was a '+1' onto my Total Fuel Allowance but it was still on the last reel and the best prize to win for this round, I was shocked when it dropped, so I thought I had to post it !!
