i found a neat util for capturing actual gameplay footage realtime at a resolution of up to 1024x768 with sound.![]()
it also does screencapture.

I've had that little program a few months now. The recording is uncompressed so a 5 minute record will take up over a gig of space. You need to chuck it into DivX after or something like that. Also XP only lets you have files up to 4 or 5 gig so you cant record for a really long time or anything![]()
Fraps is old news,been useing it for ages and a huge system hog, most of you wont be able to play and record with fraps unless you have a real high end spec!
File size is not limited in XP. Your talking about "FAT32" you need to Re-format your HD to "NTFS" which has an unlimited(within the actual partition) file size.

I do use NTFS & when I said its limited I took that right from the Fraps readme file. I've only recorded small things myself but according to them there is a limit![]()
