Vikings in the E3 Live Demo

First of all, I didnt find this, It was posted by Fixthecat in Reddit. Thank him for it, what an amazing finding.

    http://www.reddit.com/r/forhonor/com..._e3_live_demo/

I put it here so you guys that don't use reddit can check it out.

Here you have the video of the Live Demo they did on the panel, at 0:34 if you don't look at the knight in front of you, but you look at the end of the path, you see 2 guys coming, one samurai and the last one is a Viking (sword+shield).

You can see he does a Jump + attack, then a charge where he carries the enemy with him, And then in the left of the screen you can see him figting a bit.

I recommend seeing the video in 1080p and full screen.

I took a screenshot of him too. Just check the left.

EDIT: I made a gfy of the part where the Viking appears

Is your reasoning for that player being a Viking only that they have a sword and shield? Wouldn't it be more reasonable to assume that the Chosen can have shields, given that this match was clearly a Chosen vs Legion match, without any Vikings?

I assume he is a viking because his outfit and how he fight.

If you see the image in the original post, you can se a bearded guy, with a helmet, and viking-ish armor. He does a charge against an enemy and carry with him 1-2 meters, he is obviosly a viking because of his behaviour in battle and his outfit.

I don't see it, too blurred. The armour looks of the same style as the samurai (bearing in mind it's already known that appearance is customisable), which might explain what you see as a beard too.

As for fighting style, that's pretty presumptuous - information bias it seems to me.

What? the armor doesn't look anything like Samurai, the guys is bearded, the helmet is not close to a Samurai helmet.

In the samurai armor you can see that there is a lot of this kind of Small parts that are made from smaller parts, I don't know how is called, but are small pieces tied with eachother, they have it one in the back, 2 in the legs, from the hip, shoulders, etc.

The guy in the Image has nothing of that. If you are looking it on your pc, go to youtube, put it on 1080p and fullscreen, and check it out 3 or 4 times, you will see that he is a Viking.

You have here another video, is the one from the OP in Reddit, it has a bit of a better quality. But I wanted to post the one that only has the Live Demo.

They already said in interviews that they are making the Factions have a different feel, the Samurais we saw are all about Fast and Precise moves. That character in the video is going hard, is going really hard againts an opponet, as you would expect from a Viking, the charge carrying the enemie in the air is a great move that you would expect from a Viking going hard.

And the Sword, check the sword, It is nothing like a Samurai sword, it looks like an european sword.

Hmmm, I see it now. I don't get why the devs would do this though, so i'm not convinced.

WOW! great research man! that must be their strong/advantage. knights are overall, samurai swift and deadly and vikings are good with their muscles, pushing and throwing. but im a Chosen for life!

i hope they dont make all the vikings look super stereoype. i really would like some of them to look like something straight out of vinland saga.

Wow, this was a tough one to be honest. As for me i wouldn't dare making a statement in either direction.
I am a bit split when it comes to this one, yes he does fight in a manner that a Viking probably would... Yes the armor does resemble what a viking could have, however that doesn't simply make him a viking because we THINK that's how the vikings will look.

I would say he resembles the samurai, i would. But his armor is quite off at the same time. KEEP IN MIND, that every faction does not only have one ''class'' to play as. We should not assume that the samurais does not have any bigger and tougher than what we have already seen.

Simply looking at the gif and the video itself doesn't make me very much convinced, however what does make me curious about the whole thing is the resemblance to a picture they gave out on a viking.

I am finding it hard to say ''That is a viking!'', but i would not dare to rule out the possibility of it being one.
Could be some kind of... ''Easter egg'' if you will.

    You said it, Tom!
This is what i think is the most probable answer to the whole thing, it's simply a bigger Mice-warrior with different clothing and different weapons.
