It would be really sweet if you were able to play splitscreen with at least one other person in a co-op mode where you work together against computer opponents.
(Maybe even 1 v 1, against each other too, and you can just hide the duel up, right, left indicator.)
I believe that would add substantial value to the game! Especially if there's no single player campaign/challenges
(from what I can see-- in the presentations given so far, there was no mention of it, so I assume there isn't a singleplayer mode at all.)

I'm curious as to see what other modes (outside of the one demonstrated at the conference) will be available.

I think a 1 on 1 honor duel with your buddy next to you would be a hell of a good time. Likewise maybe an offline or online co-op horde style game could also be very cool. I can only imagine a scenario were me and my friend are going back to back, acting as a two man siege breaker against an invading army.

that was originally going to be part of the game but in order to focus on other areas they went and abandoned the idea. so yeah that wont happen.
