    Should pay more attention to the Details of the Characters

    So I just watched the gameplay trailer and I noticed that your Samurai held his katana in the wrong way when running. The edge of the katana should be facing up( facing the samurai) but not down( facing the ground) so that the samurai could draw his knife faster.

    This kind of grip is legit for samurai weapon as well. But when we speaks about detalis... There is no scabbard, so they runs with "naked" weapon all the time. Weapon attached to the back when climbing the ladder looks ridiculous. Also when Geoff approached DPauze animation of drawing the sword was bugged as hell. And blocking another sword with katana is rather bad idea.

    There are points to be made on both sides, and I really agree with the naked weapon while climbing thing but it's been a sad fact of video games since eons past. But you should also note that the naked blade in the footage shown is clearly deliberate. It is a means of "stowing away" the weapon while keeping it readily accessible, to make running around more practical. Certainly, as suggested in another thread, the addition of iai or battou-jutsu for the Chosen is something that would require the addition of a scabbard, and in most cases the upwards facing of the katana's edge, but from what we have seen the ladder-thing is my only (minor)problem >.<

    I just think they were too lazy to have the orochi sheath the sword into a scabbard, as animating the blade going through the scabbard perfectly while including different movements of gear bouncing around can probably be a pain. But yes, they should have added a scabbard to the orochi, as fighting with the scabbard either by striking, blocking, or drawing were techniques used by Japanese swordsman.
