Alright, I understand your questions now! I don't want to go into more detail on some of them without checking if it's alright though. I'm kinda paranoid about breaking NDA and having actual Ghosts sent after me by Ubisoft.
The controls for the game are a work in progress right now. When we played the left analog stick controlled character movement, and the right one controlled aiming. Character movement was incremental with the left stick, so if you just pushed it forward a little your character would walk, if you pushed it forward all the way, they would jog. If you wanted to actually SPRINT you had to click in the left stick.
Again, this is a work in progress and the control layout and what you can do with your character in terms of movement may change by the time the game is released.
Email sent regarding your other questions.
That sounds good, i'm not a fan of active sprint. hopefully it stays like that.Originally Posted by Cortexian0 Go to original post

Here's a question.
Are UbiSoft and it's game developers... using current or retired Military operators as a resource in the development of Ghost Recon Wildlands, for the game's authenticity? Or are they making it up as they go?
A number of game developers over the years, have advertised and shown their use of real military operator's experiences in theater, to make their game look and feel, as close to a real warfare experience as possible. Game Developer Documentation of this can be found on YouTube and developer's websites, down to soldier movements, gun sounds, speech, vehicle sounds and more and that helps put a gamer in a real world experience.
Where is the intel, that UbiSoft is consulting with real military operators for this game? If they have... I think that would make a very interesting article and videos!

To create a coherent and realistic world, we have worked in collaboration with numerous experts, among which Special Operations, defense, army and authenticity consultants at Red Storm.
Thanks.
I offered to help provide feedback on some of the gunplay related authenticity stuff. I'm a competitive shooter, and also like to take tactical classes to improve my skills and learn more about firearms manipulation. And yeah, as Ubi_Jax said, they've built up a lot of consultants for this kind of thing over the years. Heck, even the Ghost Recon Phantoms team hired some currently operation special forces to record motion-capture animations. I've seen some unreleased photos of the capture-session with blurred out faces, and the guys look legit badass.
- TPS or FPS or both?
"Dominic: The shooting is in first person and the traversal is in third person. Right now."
WTF????
I dont like this method. I hope there will be normal TPS view (like in Future Solider), so we can shoot, zoom in TPS mode, and we can use "aim down sight FPS" view too. Like in Future Soldier.

I hate it so much, I hope the control system comes back from the FS (A is to get cover and sprint depends on where player is).Originally Posted by Cortexian0 Go to original post
Il oved that. Best will be, if the controll buttons on gamepad would be changeable.
It's very similar to what they have implemented in Ghost Recon Phantoms. It's a fantastic system IMO. You get first person when aiming down sight, and third person when you're just running around. Gives you the best of both worlds, extra view and situational awareness in third person while moving, and precision accuracy when aiming.Originally Posted by GustyX Go to original post
If you haven't tried it before, download Ghost Recon Phantoms (It's free), and either play a few matches or just launch the firing range and try out the controls / camera stuff.
